It's cool, but they don't tell you how much it cost to do something like that. I also, never could see the benefit of electric vehicles. To each there own, I guess.

They don't tell u that half the charge is lost running heat in the winter and ac in the summer, along with the fact that cold temps reduce battery capacity and power flow. STUPID!

I'm not sold on any benefits of battery power. Batteries are toxic to the environment, price of new electric cars are above and beyond the price of a 4 cylinder gasoline car, registration stickers are now 150.00 per year in my state for electric cars, distance of electric cars very limited. No thanks.

Add to all of that, the batteries must be replaced every couple of years, and that adds thousands to the "low maintenance cost" lie they sell you. I dont like the electric vehicles at all. If I had the means to buy a car for driving to work only, it might be okay. I live 6 miles from work. Otherwise nope. I love the smell, the feel and the sound of a good 'ol American V8.

Honestly, I think it's cool, but it's a weekend toy, in my view. The 80-mile range would get me to cars and coffee and back home, with about 15 miles of range left. The only way you'd have range in this, is to install a Diesel electric generator in the bed, and run the electric motor off that. It's still a non-AC-equipped toy to haul two people and no cargo.
