Post by ironhead3 »

Have a polishing question for all the smart folks on here, getting a stainless front bumper made for the 400 going to polish it my self. Have worked on aluminium but not to sure what to expect from stainless, any pointers would be great.

Stainless polishes easily. Just go for it.

Stainless is easy to polish as long as it is allready smooth, just use polish compound made for stainless.

Not going to be smooth at all starting right from scratch, will be a few days work.

you'll likely want to sand it smooth and get it finer and finer grit paper as you go. stainless is very forgiving to work with unlike aluminum.
