How can you figure out how much your truck is worth?

That question will get you a myriad of opinions. We all know what opinions are like. That said, start off by telling us about your truck: year, options, condition, etc. as well as pictures. You will certainly get opinions here. Original condition trucks seem to bring a better price than some that are restored. :thinking. Location has some impact , but as others have said," it's worth what someone is willing to pay". Tell us about your truck. :Thumbsup

I just read through your prior posts: original owner truck since new, optioned out, appears to be in great condition.

It depends on taste. It looks pretty customized but it is nice that it has been under the same ownership for so long. You'd have to post info on what has been changed and if any take off parts go with it, etc. :2cents

The parts that have been changed on the truck consist of M1 mainifold and AFB carb, pointless ignition, new seat cover, back bumper (got bent, but still have it), Mopar valve covers. Parts added are: running boards (custom fit) rhino liner, combo tool box 45 gal extra gas tank, mud flaps, stainless insert in tail gate, tires and wheels. Everything else on the truck is original and stock. The truck has also been painted, the paint is okay but has been on there for 30yrs. Have the original spare tire that came with the truck.

Engine won't have hardened valve seats, which are, or soon will be, seriously eroded from unleaded gas. Old school rings rarely last much over 100k. Needs a rebuild.

Many of our Sweptline friends, whom are all very knowledgeable have offered opinions. I agree with the suggested values which were offered . I also agree comments made as to the weakness of the engine does decrease the value. Once the engine is completely rebuilt in a high quality rebuild, the value is right on . Gordo

Thank you all so much!! The engine has been rebuilt back in 1980. Went completely through it and it has about 35,000 on it since the o'haul. The factory had put the wrong dipstick in it and when it was on the full mark it was actually a quart low, so when it was a quart low it was 2 quarts low. When it was torn down the bearings testified to this. We did a complete rebuild and in typical 383 fashion the rear crank seal drips at little, but that can be replaced by just dropping the oil pan.
