So I've been keeping an eye out for a good sweptline for a little while. I'm going to try to go look at this one this weekend if I can.
viewtopic.php?f=31&t=31173
But now I'm really going to be looking. My beautiful wife just hit the "buy it now" button on this......
http://www.ebay.com/itm/300767625558?
She saw me sitting here with my mouth open, drooling at how sexy it is, so she decided that I should get it.
Guess my next sweptline is going to have a Poly in it!

Too new, and it deserved a proper restoration with the options and color. Even though I want something with original paint I am NOT interested in keeping it stock.

LOL you wouldn't want to know what I paid for mine! And it has a nice 440 in it! Geez maybe I should resell it and make a huge profit!

All it takes is a little time on Craigslist and a few other sources. I see trucks like this all the time for under 2k. I could have picked one up a month or so back for under a grand in similar shape. Persistance is key!

Notice his location...Washington state. Most of the rest of the country doesn't have the same deals that he finds.

It's hard to tell the body condition with it being flat black. The steering wheel, dash, doors look to be in good shape. Unless you have lots of time to fix rust a rebuild everything. I would rather pay more for a better condition truck that you can drive home.
I paid $900 for my D100 short bed but everything was wore out. The engine was shot, had to find another block because it was already 60 over. It needed tires, brakes, glass, interior, radiator, ect. Fortunately it only had minor rust. Basically I didn't save a dime. If I would have bought a tight truck for $4K I would have been money and time ahead. He will probably come off his price, go look at it and if it's solid jump on it. Then enjoy driving it and not working on it so much.

How much would your wife charge to train my girlfriend???
That is something I could live with, I'd put a ring on it in a heartbeat.
You definitely have a keeper!

There are 3 yellow power wagons on inland empire craigslist right now if you are still looking for that yellow truck.

Thanks for the tip, I am not really interested in a power wagon though. They're cool, but I've done the 4wd thing already. I'm pretty much limiting myself to a D100 shortbed unless an original yellow paint truck comes along. None of those powerwagons look like original paint, more like Caltrans/Cat/construction yellow.

I'm currently considering this one.

Earl you should get the 44o powered css from terry. Cant beat the build for the price. Your not worried about stock so that truck would give you a big head start.

Actually, I prefer stock appearing, at least on the outside. The big block and ute are big negatives for me. I'm going more for 60's period modifications. That big butterfly air cleaner and the blue split loom are too 80's-90's for me.
Pretty close to making a deal on Jeff's truck.
I hate the black and red, but it has a lot of other stuff on my list. 66-older, poly/auto dash shifter (both rebuilt), white wheel, gauge trim, big back window, shortbed and driving distance so no shipping cost!
I'll be painting it yellow of course.

Dig that shag headliner...wow. truck has a lot going for it, and a lot I would change. I wish I could argue your requirements, but they sound exactly like my own wish list lol
