Air Compressor

Post by Enon »

I have a 29 gallon husky right now. The compressor died last night, but the tank is only 2 years old. When I get a new one, hopefully Friday, can I use this take as extra air storage? All the relief and reed valves on the old tank are still good. I do realize that this would make the compreesor run longer, but wouldn't it also make it run less?

Sure you can. It will run longer initially, or when you drain the tanks. Otherwise it shouldn't make a difference.

Just to be safe, take a look at the duty cycle on the compressor motor.
