Got rear ended by a con-way semi!

so last wednesday i was driving my 73 challenger 65mph on I5 and a con-way driver that was over his hours and admited to cooking his log books and that he fell asleep rearended me and shoved my trunk to where my spair tire mounts. here is a link to where i posted it at the cuda-challenger site with pictures.

so my first proposed offer is $12,803 and they dont have my new wheels and tires and sterieo and a few other things.

had a dream lastnight that i was able to climb into the trunk and use my feet to kick the tail pannel back out and the car was fine......have you ever gotten a truck with a caved in roof and layed on the seat and used your feet to push the roof back into place?

It looks repairable to me? If the insurance company gets it, it'll go directly to the crusher. :pale

If it is totaled by the insco and u buy it back, in CA u will have to re-title it with a "salvage" title, which will forever blemish the title. Doing so also requires a brake and lamp inspection. All are costs u will have to absorb in addition to the buyback cost. I would fight....

I agree with Terry for sure. Fight hard, they will do much more than the first offer. Put my wife on it and it and I GUARANTEE they will do you better just to get rid of her. :lol: :lol: :clap :dance She did it with one of ours that was totaled by her daughter and got way more than anyone would have thought. Actually, more than it probably could have been sold for before it was wrecked.
