I just joined up after a couple weeks of viewing. Great resources and members. I bought a 1968 d100 8' step off craigs list(paid too much) ...318 3/tree. Body is pretty good except the bed floor. The seller had the block rebuilt bored 30 over w performer cam, roller rockers, weinaud manifold/edel.600 .has new drum brakes, clutch, starter, battery, radiator, electronic ignition. Gonna need lots of TLC to get it presentable. I'm sure I will be calling on group for help and advice. My first dodge since high school(68' coronet 500). I have restored (6) swb f100's over the past 15 yrs..sold last one 2 yrs ago and needed a new project..glad i picked the 2 stepper. cheers( will post pictures later)

Welcome aboard! It's fun to own an old Dodge pickup. All you see at the various car shows are Fords, Chevy's and GMC's, BORING!. I bought a 1976 Ford F100 two months ago from Arizona, I HATED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT! Sold it the week I got it to upstate NY.
Now I bought a1965 Dodge D100 Sweptline, oh boy, I'm highly enthused. It looks better than all the other trucks of that era, and will astound them at the first debut car show I plan to take it on shortly.
Good luck with your project, here's mine just about done cosmetically (I saved 85% original paint, it only has 33845 miles on it)
Good luck to you! And again wecome aboard, Dodge truck guys are the best!

I set up a photobucket account so I can finally post (hopefully) some pictures. Since these pictures, I have removed the bed to completely rebuild with all new parts. Got all the electrical/mechanical at least functional and street worthy. Trying to get use to the steering and hydralic clutch. Put a 2004 ram split seat in it( what a difference).Have all new rubber for glass, doors etc.new rubber carpet and insulation. Think i will keep it the original red...looks good w/new grey seats. Going to just drive it a while before making any long term changes like : ifs, power steering/brakes.a/c....getting alot of looks around the hood...Chris.
