does it leak around the glass or around the frame side of the rubber? either way you may need to squeeze some sealer up there...garyo wrote:Ok just caught in the rain, windshield leaks around the top....any clues on how to stop that?
After 16 years of a frame restoration, I can now drive it.

Appeared to be the steel frame side of the rubber.

Did you do the window install or did you have a pro do it? If it was a pro take it back to them and get their advice.
I am no glass guy but you may be able to slip the lock out of the seal and pull the front edge of the seal down and run some weather strip in there and then reinsert the lock strip.
Hopefully someone with more glass experience will chime in.
Mine leaks at the lower corners ever so slightly. More water condensates from the AC than rain leaks in so I say it is ok.
Truck looks good - how many miles have you put on it? Mine is about to turn 10K with just under 2 years of having a tag on it again :)

Awesome.
Take it back to the pro - that sort of leakage ain't right.
Mine is just about perfect now - nice layer of road burn and residual bug guts on it. Not quite rode hard and put away wet but getting there...
Ben

I've always heard that new windshield seals on Sweptlines will leak if installed dry (without sealer of some kind).
By the way, nice job on the resto.
