I am 26 and I fell in love with Mopars as a teen. I've owned a 65 Valiant and 3 Dodge trucks of various years, but I have never owned a Swepty. Yet.

I'm 39 and have been on this site for a couple months perhaps. My grandfather was a Chrysler Master Tech and specialized in the early hemi motors. He built a blown 331 for my fathers T-bucket railer in 1957 for him to drive to High School, and my father has a shelf full of trophies from most of the legendary SoCal dragstrips. I didn't have the option of being a Dodge driver! In 1984 my parents splurged ($300) and bought me a worn out 1965 Dart GT for my first car, my grandfather and I rebuilt the front end in the driveway with his well worn Blue Point tools from back when he was a line mechanic. I've owned Sweptys but do not have one currently, I have a 1974 W200 and a 1970 Coronet out in the driveway.

I like to say thank you to eveeryone who posted her and on the other form. I was wanting to get to know a little bit about everyone on theses forms. It means alot to me that you guys took the time to post. So thank all of you for posting and I am glad to see that their has been people on the orginal old form. I actually found a print out of the old form from 1999. So I quess I have been following dodge my hole life sice High school. I think the reason why I came to theses site was because my grand father when he was alive gave me my 1st truck. 1971 dodge W100 which he bought In wyoming. My only regret was that he died before I could have shown him it fully restored to show condition. I called the place where he bought it and they told be their wad only 32 excat modles made like my truck in the US. I have to admit thanks to him I have a very deep passions for dodge trucks. It is like a sickness and I have to admit I love my truck. Every time I get a chance to sit it in I remember that my grandfather did. It is like a memory which I hope after I die lives on with my great grand children. JIM

59 but I don't look a day over 58. Ben is the reason I am here. Long story but I found my truck's pic on his registry and thought I should investigate. He was instrumental in my interest in Dodge trucks. I always liked the early B bodies.

You will see pictures of my truck on the first site, and at that time I was "Robin in Texas" found everyone there in 1997, been Mopar since the 70's tried others, but missed the Power and Performance of real machines, at 49 not going to change, had the truck since 1988, droped the 440 in the truck long before any of the forums were even thought of in 1990, I have almost 30 yrs with the one truck, with only me as the driver, after everyone else sells theres I'll still have mine :Thumbsup

I'm 20 and have had my Swept for 3.5 years now. Now I have a '64 D100 and a '67 D200 Crew. My dad's got a 1950 Dodge B2B and a parts truck for it, and my brother's got a 2002 Dodge. Runs in the family I guess. Looking for my 3rd Swepty right now.

Been here since July 06. Last summer when I bought my been dead 10 years 66. Best site on the web. Thanks all. I do believe it wouldn't be my daily driver without the help of the people here. First Mopar; 66 Charger 383 in 69. Lost track of what others and what years. Drove an early 60s Valiant, a late 60's 1/2 ton truck, a 66 D100. But I bought a new Dodge W truck in 74, 76, 78. The 74 was the best vehicle I have ever owned. Did not like the 76 or 78 at all. Then tried generic motors and ferds, even an old Jeep Wagoneer. I am now back to older Dodge. Nothing newer than 74 for me. I can break the new ones but I sure as heck can't fix them or afford to pay someone else to fix them halfway. And around here it seems that halfway is at good as they can fix stuff. :2cents
Forgot to say and had to edit. I'm 56 next month. Old enough to be forgetful I guess

Where's the typo Robin?
2007 - 1988 = 19 yrs, not even close to 30 :thinking

Bought my first, 70 W200, in Apr 1978. Still have it and its driveable. Have a whole herd now. Been a Swept daily driver ever since.

I guess according to Terry I must be old since I was with Dad when he picked my rig up. :pale Not sure who drove it home but Dad must have since I would have remembered that for sure. :Thumbsup  He was quite pleased I rebuilt his old rig to what it is now. I got him to come to the last meet we had at Lewisville Park and he enjoyed it enough he asked if we were going to do it again.

I just turned 59, owned Mopars since '66 and driven them longer. I think Dad had a '46 1 1/2 ton when I was born or at least soon afterwards. First rig I ever drove(sorta :pale ). I ran it around the hay field while Dad loaded bales and Grandpa stacked them. I had to look under the top of the steering wheel and could barely reach the pedals. Mostly I remember Dad yelling at me every time I let out the clutch,"don't jerk."

I started on Kris' original site about '97. Thought I was the only one until then. :joker :salut :Thumbsup

Still trying to learning how to restore, just haven't had much chances lately. Currently own 66 chrysler 300, 62 + 64 D100, 2005 Ram 1500. Hoping to get one of my trucks running this year.

I am 34, and bought my first swepty in jan of 2000. A good way to start the millenium! I always dug the Imperial my dad bought when I was about 8, but I was a dyed in the wool mopar man when he brought home a 68 barracuda when I was about 12. I've had a couple of driver 67 and 68 barracudas, and tons of parts cars. I am whittled down to what is in my sig at this time.

1st question - Old enough (older than ALL Sweptlines!)

2nd question - A while now.

Owned Mopars and others since 1972. First Swepty in May 1982 (a 1966 short Utiline, 225/auto)

i'm 32 and i got my first taste of mopar when my dad picked up his ordered 93 2500 club cab with a cummings in december of 92. never had a dodge until i bought a 160000 93 shadow in late 02,(i know barely a dodge, really a mitsubishi) ugly as sin but was very comfotable to drive, like that old comfy couch you cann't get rid of. then a guy i met in 04 (who's now a very good friend) told me he had a 70 d100 for sale when i mentioned i wanted an older car or truck to play with. so not knowing anything about the old dodge trucks much less know what one looks like i hit the internet at work on my free time and came across this site and norms, and started reading about the good and the bad for a couple of months befor i even went by and looked at the truck. so in jan of 05 the wife and i went to look at it, and i was smittin. first 3 on the tree truck i've ever seen started right up for me and i was sold with the sound. he took me around the block like it was an oval track, i was smiling ear to ear. after the wife went for a ride we were boyh convinced and i pick it up on valentines day of 05(had to wait for the tax return)
as always and sometimes not,steve
