stereo speakers in my truck

Post by farmhand66css »

I have asked this question before, I think. has anybody mounted speakers in your truck? I am trying to get a pair behind the seat along side of the gas tank in my66.
I am going to get a pair in the steel panel in front of the doors (5") and I need to put a pair behind the seat, I think? possible a 5 x 7 pair

anybody else try this??

hey matt, a 4x6 is about all you will fit beside the tank easily. the 5x7's i lookd at all had too big a magnet and frame work to fit with out rattles. jvc sells some kick @#% 4x6's that are 3 ways.

you can junk yard some metel grilles from a min 80's chevy silverado pk , they have them built in in the corner , & with a slite mod will fit good , I found this out from a parts truck my son got , but does, not need now as he went back to a Dodge 02 model
