we haven't decided what area we want to move to yet. i've been looking at a few houses on line but don't want to jump into anything this early. I've been searching online about the area. i'm deffinetly excited about the move!

Jimmy, if you could keep an eye out for an Apache or swb sweptline i'd appreciate it. I'm even interested in 47-59 ch*vy trucks.

I have friends and relatives in Spokane, I always enjoy going to visit there. They get more snow that I do out West, so I'm jealous.

The most unfriendly place I've visited was Show Low, AZ. Sat on the bleachers through my cousins whole swimming lesson, smiling at every person that walked by, and not a single one would make eye contact with me.

PwrWgnDrvr, I pick up hitchikers from time to time, and stop to change people's flat tires regularly. So don't hate all us WA guys!

Sounds like Des Moines. I pass people when I'm out walking, sometimes I'll even say "hi" and they just kind of glare at me like I am a leper or something.

agreed, I like the north end of town and north of spokane the best. I grew up in a area called Nine Mile Falls and Suncrest.
It's north west of Spokane on Long lake (spokane River Dammed up).

What are you looking for in a Sweptline? 4x4? Crew cab? Long or short Box Ect.?

I see lots of apachees around.

FYI: The base is actually closer to Cheney WA, if you want to consider commute time. One of my HS buddies retired from the Airforce out there. He lives in Cheney and likes it a lot. Got a brother and a sister living in Spokane. Both seem to really enjoy the area. Good luck with the move! :salut

Don't pay too much attention to Terry. He rants bout most things. Awfully intelleigent though. Loves contraversy. LOL

Yea, I consider him a good freind and likely always will. (Lol, on likely)

I live only 125 miles soutwest of Spokane and we here are blessed with less rainfall tham Phoenix Az. year in and year out.

Rains a bit more in spokane but not that bad. Very important, it is not pelosi country.

No rust, sell yours buy one from my area here in tri cities. Kennewick Wa.

BTW. I'm down to less than a dozen and closing out. Gordo

it's a shame to walk away from some of these trucks, but i wouldn't buy a pickup from the tri-cities area without running a geiger counter over it... especially an old one.

Hey John, Now I gotta really watch my spelling. :salut (personal joke)

Missed this continuation of thread till today, not surfin here as should

(Below pertains to Terrys earlier post with picture of the L600 I brought home from junkyard.)

Yea, Terry,........ I never will forget that trip (to and fro) Caifornia. You surely picked up a hitchiker that day.
2 things stand out as a picture in ny mind.
You, a stranger then, rouring to the curb in your faded yet unmolested W200 sweptline at the limousine pickup at the Oakland airport.
What a cool sight that was.

An unexpected Bonus:
Then, the waiting patient at the junkyard from Terry until we fired up. But Then you left. :pale
Except,...
An hour later only to see you monitoring our progress and lack thereof down the road a couple mles. (Low battery on the L600 at a non helpful gas station.) Heck I figured Terry was back in Walnut Creek on the jobsite by then.

The other "sight" rememberance are the pictures you took from your W200 heading North from Oakland before you had to turn off towards your home at Walnut Creek. You were waving your arm and pointing to the lane I was to continue in towards Washington state. (Onward and north to Spokane)

The truck made it to Washinton with many thanks to Terry.

So now ya know,... a little more about the technical side of "get it right" Terry"

Gordo
, ..... I already forgave my own grammer and spelling. G

In my case if it take 4 hours I better have a smile on my face or,.."call the coroner"

And BTW, at that point of time I just can't be bent over a fender with someone in arrears. Gordo
