I know what you mean!!johnnylemonpudding wrote:I feel your pain brotha. I too live in NE. Bought mine on ebay for the paltry sum of $150. Crew cab, short box, uteline. Got shipping quotes of $900 or more. Knew I could retrieve it myself for way less, so grabbed my buddies trailer, my brother and my dad, and headed for Redding Ca. Blinding snow storms, motel stays, blown tires, fragged wheel bearings, and traffic tickets ensued. Long story short, great vacation, but one expensive truck.

Man, If you went through all that and she kept her cool, You've got a good one ! And now she's "invested" in the relationship with the truck, so you'll have more support when it comes to fixing it up. Some poor souls have the opposite situation. Congratulations, and welcome.

Well, at least half of your restoration will be done by the time you get home.

My wife would've shot me dead and set fire to the truck just to see the pretty flames....and stay warm!!! Really, Sloan, IA? I'll have to look that up. I wonder if that's how C W Mc Call ended up naming his old dog in all those songs.....
