obsolete part and not having any luck with the aftermarket. Looks like NOS only. Time to open up my wallet and head over to ebay.

Adjust or replace neutral safety switch?
So, I did a search and found a few posts but nothing specific to what I am trying to figure out. I can not find ANYTHING in the FSM specific about the neutral safety switch so I am coming to you for your thoughts. 318 automatic Just recently the truck won't start in park, i'd say 90% of the time. Camper Special Wiring Diagram?
And one have or know if there was an additional wiring diagram for the Camper specials?
Specifically how was the secondary battery wired into the charging system?
1968 so prior to the bulkhead connector.

Re: Extra Black 8 Gauge Wire?
That's what I was thinking and why I stated it is a Camper Special. Unfortunately the FSM doesn't have a diagram for what they did differently. The wiring is all original and is routed how it came from the factory. Nothing has been spliced in or converted and being a '68 it predates the bulkhead con...

Extra Black 8 Gauge Wire?
1968 D200 318 A/T Custom Camper Special Anyone know why I have an extra 8 gauge wire running through my fire wall? I went and tore into the dash today and found that the cut 8 guage wire goes direct to the ammeter. According to the FSM wiring diagram though there is only 1 black 10 gauge wire that g...

Gasket set interchange number?
According to my information I need the FS8553PT-12 Fel-Pro gasket set for my 1968 2bbl 318. This part seems to be unobtainable and I was wondering if anyone has a new part number so I can get my engine put back together.
Thanks, Andrew

To those of you who have pulled their engine, will it clear the core support without having to pull the front tires and lower the front end?

Been reading about all the fuel tank conversions and people eluding to the scent of petrol in the cab.
Is this standard for the sweptlines?
Thanks, Andrew

Re: Fuel tank relocaton
New guy here. The fuel tank on my truck was pulled before I bought it because it was rotted out. I'm was looking to replace the tank and then I read this thread.
Am I to expect the scent of petrol on a daily basis? Is this just the "normal" smell of the Sweptline cabin? Tell me more.

Re: New guy w/ '68 D200
Thanks John. I'm new to the Sweptline world and wanted to get the name in the right order. Found a local guy on Craigslist with a bunch of parts so I am headed over to his place on Saturday to score a new(er) fuel tank, some tail gate hinges and perhaps a bumper. That's really all this truck needs. ...

Re: New guy w/ '68 D200
That was one of the selling points for me. Also the blue rubber floor mat, which is almost perfect and the dash pad looks new.soopernaut wrote:You don't see too many trucks of this age with the original seat fabric.
