The 203 is a full time transfer case but it doesn't put power to all four wheels at once, the power goes to the rear wheels until one of them starts spinning, then it switches power to the front side via a "differential" inside the transfer case. If you put the shift lever in one of the LOC position...

I decided to give NAPA another try when I got back to work. I asked for a woman I knew wouldn't mislead me, she didn't. NAPA doesn't have it, not through their normal supply anyway. They have the turn signal repair kit but not the switch. They can get a switch from Shee-Mar, part number SM-105, for ...

Thanks for the help everyone. napa has the new switchs, sometimes even in stock..... I also have the 66 dio in my 'tech stuff' section below. I tried my local NAPA, they said they couldn't get one. If you aren't affiliated with a shop they don't really care if they get your business plus I work for ...

My sons 66 D318 had an aftermarket Holley 2 barrel adapted on it. While looking for a replacement carb for it I found out that a Stromberg or a Carter was used. I decided to go with the Carter, I got one of an 80's LA318, it bolted right on and everything hooked up, his is a 4 speed though so I didn...

66 wiring diagram needed
If anyone has a wiring diagram for a 66 D200 camper special I could use a copy of it. My sons truck needs a turn signal switch and since I can't find one I am going to wire in a universal switch. I can get it done without the diagram but it would be easier with one.

They do run well, don't they. I moved my sons 66 D200 with a poly from behind the house to the yard at work last weekend. It started right up and ran pretty good even though it had sat for about a month. Only problem was the aftermarket holley POS carb was running too rich as usual. We swapped a car...

I'll tell you what's wrong with the zone, when you start making too much money, they fire you. Lost 10 years of my life there. Parts are crappy for the most part, too. The place I work now has WAY better quality parts... :2cents I gave 5 years of my life there too. Gotta agree that most of the part...

I've driven fords and chevies almost all my life. I had my problems with them just like anyone will no matter what they drive. Then I bought a Dodge truck. It just fit me. I'm on my fourth one now and my son has his 66 D-200 camper special and the pride I get from keeping them running is worth every...

While I am glad that the Broncos beat the Raiders yet again I feel bad for Norv Turner. If that idiot Al Davis would just back off and let him run the team I think the Raiders would be much better. They have the talent and the coaches are all pretty good. I think Turner just didn't care this year an...

The people I hate to deal with are the ones who have something for sale and no price listed. When I ask for a price they give the me the "whats it worth" business. I won't quote you a price for your merchandise, you tell me what you want for it. If it is within what I am willing to pay for it, I'll ...

I know I can find some 16" 8 lug steel wheels from a later model 3/4 ton that will fit the truck and aren't split rims, thats not the problem. Will original hub caps from a 66 D200 fit on them though? Thats the reason he wants some steel wheels, so it has original hub caps on it. It has some nice wh...
