Re: Front axle (2WD) disc brake conversion
All good info, the Scarebird kit I installed was purchased from a member on this forum. He had bought it and never installed the kit. It did include Scarebird hubs and as I remember there was a bearing seal missing from the kit by the time I got it. Had to do some figuring to get the right one. Keep...

Re: Front axle (2WD) disc brake conversion
I have a rebuilt low miles complete front axle from my 1970 d100 that I would let someone have at a good price. Has scarebird disc brakes and the king pins have about 10,000 miles on them. These were road miles traveling back and forth from FL to Co for my summers. I have a post of them on Sweptline...

Re: Steering box swap
The Pitmam arm is basically the same and you use your drag link. The kit comes with a rag joint I think it's a Ford?? I split it and the top have of the dodge rag joint matches up with it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pdQ79OxUFc&t=173s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLjVogCAh-Y&t=2s https://www...

i'm thinking my was 35 to 36" on 15" wheels and a 29" tire. After Sid's 3" drop and new Detroit springs with a 1" drop I'm at 29".

Re: Steering box swap
I have my new (for me) '63 D100, it needs a few things but overall it's in pretty good shape. One of the things that needs to be addressed is the steering box cause this thing has 3 lanes of play, the previous owner tried adjusting it but said it's bad and gave me a rebuilt unit in the deal....so w...

Re: Steering box swap
I just replied to your spring post and I was going to mention power steering. To change the the box isn't hard you'll need a puller for the drag link  Mine had bad steering to start with so first I tried all the replacement parts. I mean all of them from king pins, rebuilt steering box, drag li...

Re: Leaf spring talk
On my 1970 d100 I went with Nostalgia Sid's Drop axle, 3" drop. I was able to pick it up from a member that had it installed on a 1964. He wanted a more modern set up so he went with the Gerst suspension https://gerstsuspensions.com/. First i used my original springs with the drop and that wasn't en...

Re: Bump steer fix?
The drag link needs to be made level again. Heat and bend the steering arm . This may be hard to do because of the axle flip.

I had one done by https://www.bobsspeedometer.com/1/120/index.asp , paid big money and it only lasted about 2 years then failed. So i bought a used gauge cluster from Ebay that had a good speedometer in it.

Re: Several cut factory wires under hood. Help I.D. trace repairs...
Those wires may be left over from an AMP gauge by-pass. Lookup Dodge gauge bypass MAD Electrical. Even if that's not what your looking at you'll find some good info on that web site.

Honestly I don't know the pressure, i'm running the Federal pump ( they all ran hot) and replaced it 4 time with rebuilt ones, purchased from Summit,Amazon and Ebay. To finally get adequate steering at stand still I rebuilt one of the rebuilt pumps. If your running the Federal I learned there where ...

Re: CPP Steering Box Swap
I have had a problem with not having stationary steering. However once I rebuilt one of the 4 rebuilt steering pumps, that problem is solved. This is part of the instructions for the 400 series, CP50006c that is installed on my 1970 d100. 18. Connect the power steering hoses. There are arrows cast i...
