3.23 Dana 60
So today at the junkyard I found exactly one 71 power wagon. According to the tag on the doorframe it has 3.23 gears. It was a 383/727 truck but the 383 is long gone. Trans and Tcase were untouched. I have never heard of a sweptline with 3.23 Dana 60. My D200 currently has 4.10 Dana 60 and the chang...

Re: 426 wedge build
Casting number is 1852029-1 build date of 63, numbers on top of pad are 42 and 6 and "WT" and Aaqa 4R on the front of the block. it came out of an irrigation pump in Nebraska, had a two barrel, funky heads different than any other RB I've seen (angled spark plugs and different shaped exhaust ports. ...

Re: Swap from power steering to manual
Anyone know where I can find the right pitman arm? The shims are already out as I had them removed along with a couple of leaves a while back to lower the front of the truck.

Swap from power steering to manual
Since owning my D200, I have dealt with the factory crappy power steering that leaks like crazy and has some play in it as well. The leaks caused me to have to remove the belt and basically I've been driving it around with no power steering for a while. I also put on some skinny 235/85/16s and it is...

Re: pulling power
With the size of your trailer and four speed, so you'll have that granny low first gear grunt to get it moving, what kind of hills and mountains will it see? I'd say leave it as is and give it a shot and if it isn't enough, go with a 383 2 barrel swap, won't cost a lot and will make lots of torque a...

Re: 1969 W100
As for the rear bumper they were aftermarket for years. I found one that looks exactly like the one in the picture on an 80s Ford in a junkyard, it was within a 1/4 of an inch (1/8 per side) of being the perfect width for the brackets to fit. So basically a couple of washers and drill some new holes...

426 wedge build
My 383 made it 44 years and 96k miles before the oil pump went out, it still runs, but makes some hellacious noises in the bottom end and zero oil pressure. I have an old 63 426 Wedge I would like to build to replace it. I am thinking of something around 500HP.... edlebrock heads, aftermarket cam, p...

Mirror bracket replacements
So I found some mirror. Brackets, from a 61- 68 international pickup truck. The curvature of the bracket matches perfectly with the sweptline door... I had to wallow out the mounting holes just a bit on the bracket, and they bolted right onto the west coast mirror bracket holes 2 out of 3 bolts. Thi...

Re: Modifications to D100 for Vintage Camper
I would go with overload springs in the rear at a minimum, the camper specials had them. how many leaves in the rear does your truck currently have?

Re: industiral 426 wedge
So I bought the engine, it came out of an irrigation setup and has the funky heads but water pump isn't high, it's in the same place as any car or light truck water pump. The oil pan is different thought. So a set of used heads and oil pan and I'll be set, probably have a look at thei pistons while ...

water pump looks like a standard BB water pump, heads were very different with angled spark plugs and different bolt pattern for exhuast manifolds. could not tell much more about it as it is all together.
