Dallas, TX - Restoration Shops
Does anybody know of any good shops in the Dallas area that can do some work on a '64 W200 CrewCab? Keep running into shops that say they can't handle a vehicle that big with what they already have going on?

Dodge Rear Dana 60
Ok, so I have an old beat up rear axle that I am contemplating swapping. My question is this, what is TE distance center pin to center pin on an early 60s dana 60 axle? I have measured it and get 43.25". Just want to make sure that is correct before I get into the hassle if having to take perches of...

Re: 1964 w200 leaf to coil springs
Well, 94 and up went links and coils and boxed...I read the OP and he's saying 92-93 so I dunno exactly what he has in mind. At any rate, every 4x4 I've had that has gotten 'wheeled has had frame breakage, the bigger and heavier, the worse it gets. Old trucks with stiff suspension are bad about it,...

1964 w200 leaf to coil springs
Has anyone ever converted their front end from leaf springs to coil springs/is this possible? I have a 1964 w200 that I am already going to swap the front axle in ft a 92 or 93 dodge front dana 69 axle (kingpin, internal locking hub, open knuckle). So that said, has anyone converted an early 90s dod...

Re: '64 w200 Front right quarter panel
I found what I think you are referring to as the plug and it is just a hole leading to the where the door arms are bolted in? Tried to attach a picture but it wouldn't accept itdodgeboykim wrote:Find the round plastic plug inside the cab on kick panel. Same spot left /right side. Bolt hiding in hole.

Re: Chevy Dana 60 front and Dana 70 rear
My brother would have me put in the new 2014 cummins diesel, but I think I am starting to lean to the simpler 12v or 24 v engines. Any suggestions?

'64 w200 Front right quarter panel
So I have a question. Is there a bolt in the top of the front quarter panels just below (or around) the side mirror? I have undone all of the bolts for the underneath of the front grill and all if the bolts on the front inside of the engine bay and front quarter label that I can see, but it seems th...

Re: Chevy Dana 60 front and Dana 70 rear
Yea, I figured they wouldn't line up well with the spring perches. Ideally, I would like to find a Dana 60 front and swap that on. Does anyone on this site know of anyone who has an extra Dana 60 front they ae willing to part with?

Re: 2014 cummins diesel
Considering the power output and torque of the new style Cummins engines and all the electronics they have for engine and trans if you go automatic that will be one major and possibly expensive conversion. Why not a 12 vale or early 24 valve. Less headaches. I am going to leave it as a manual for s...

Chevy Dana 60 front and Dana 70 rear
Does anyone know if a Chevy Dana 60 front and a chevy Dana 70 rear will work on a '64 w200 crew cab? Also, the gearing is supposedly a 4.56 on the axles I am looking at, not sure if that is too low or if it is managable?

Re: '64 w200 disc brake conversion
Yea, I am aware I have high hopes for my truck and it is going to cost a lot, but it is going to be a multi-year project so it will be spread over a a while and not all at once. And for any fab work that I can't do, I will send it off to get done. In 80-84 trucks, did they have disc or drum rear bra...

2014 cummins diesel
I recently purchased a 1964 w200, and the slant six is already not operational (not seized). Rather than fix it and get it running I am thinking of swapping the engine for a new dodge 6.7l cummins diesel. Does anyone know if this will fit, or has anyone done a swap like this in this forum that could...

Re: '64 w200 disc brake conversion
So ideally what I am hearing is to find an old 1970s dodge with a dana 60 front and disc brakes and swap the front axle. Then take the disc brakes off and swap those as well?

'64 w200 disc brake conversion
I recently purchased a 1964 w200 crew cab that I am looking to convert to disc brakes. I am new to the whole process of restoring old trucks, and don't know much about what all I need to check ahead of time. I have looked around online and there doesn't seem to be a good kit for swapping the old dru...
