So after replacing the light switch and looking at all sorts of writing diagrams I figured out the problem.
The fuse wasn't making good connection on the output side.

Re: Brake light fuse...?
In the picture you posted, are the colors correct representations of the wires on the pickup? It appears to me that the ones I've seen are. If that's the case this might make it a lot easier haha.

Re: Brake light fuse...?
This problem is confusing to me. When I put my test light to the fuse it lights up. When I pull the fuse panel off the firewall and test the wire going to the appropriate fuse I have no light. How come I have power at the fuse but not at the wire supplying power to it? I have traced the wire to the ...

Re: Brake light fuse...?
I checked the fuse and it's good. I have power on both ends of it. I'm not sure where the wire leaves the fuse block and ties back into the wire harness. Anyone know the physical location of where that red wire comes into the harness? I do not have power at the red wire going to the brake light swit...

Re: Brake light fuse...?
Hello all. I am trying to figure out if I need a new brake light switch or if I am not getting power to the switch. I have ordered 2 switches just in case. The pickup is a 1970 W200. I have poked the red wire coming out of the switch (to the best of my understanding that is the hot wire) with a tes...

Re: Brake light fuse...?
Physically above the switch or above in power flow? I have tried tracing the wire but it jumps right into my harness. I would personally prefer not to have to cut open the harness if at all possible.Johninky wrote:Check for power at that switch above the brake pedal.

Re: Total Failure
If you search the boards for wire harness you will find a few different guys that have done it. I did find out that my pickup is working with a ground being held at the firewall by about 5 strands of copper wire. That is what my problem is. If I decide to keep the pickup I will get a new harness and...

Re: Tow Bars
I would prefer a trailer but the only place that would rent me a trailer are the local places that must return the trailer to them. I am looking at having to get this truck from Missoula MT up to Noxon MT. If I go with U-Haul and tell them I'm dragging a Civic I am screwed in the event I have an acc...

Hello everyone. So my students and I have decided that the old sweptline has shown us about all there is to know about the older style of vehicle (I'm not ready to let them touch my 06 Magnum R/T yet) so I located an 84 F250 Diesel. The thing is I need to get it home. I removed the front bumper and ...

Re: Question - Odd Sound
My uncle was having a problem like you descibe and it was the fact that when his rear differential was serviced, it did not have a Limited Slip fluid treatment in the gear oil. We put some of that in and it fixed the problem. I do not know if you have a LSD. If you do maybe try that?

Re: carb questions??
I recently (last 4 weeks because students were involved) went from the stock Carter to an Edelbrock 4 bbl on an Edelbrock 2100 series performer dual plane intake. I love the swap and I found my intake on Craigslist for $120. Quite a bit cheaper than a new one. Keep looking on Craigslist, and faceboo...

Re: Photos of your truck being a truck
Last year, almost to the day I think. When I was student teaching the school said if we can haul away the old bleacher steel we the Skills USA club can have the money from it. We thought what the hell we might as well. So we found someone willing to loan us a gooseneck trailer, triple single wheel 3...

Re: Intake and Carb
I was finally able to get the intake and carb swap done. I can not believe power difference. It is night and day. I did need to adjust my automatic kickdown almost to full adjustment but it is good to go now. I also found out that the students and I have difference of opinions when it comes to tight...

Re: What engine do I have
Does anyone have pictures of how their kickdown linkage and throttle hook up to the carb on an edelbrock? I am very close to being able to fire it up, but not sure about all my linkage. I am needing a few pictures and some diagrams of how it all works. I do have the throttle kit coming but not sure ...

I have a performer series 2100 for chrysler 318/360 4 brl intake. It is cast into the intake just between the carb and thermostat saying 318/360. I have asked my Mopar friends and they swear it is supposed to be like this

What engine do I have
Hello, So my students were able to get the old intake out and the surfaces cleaned. We went to put the new Edelbrock in place and it did not line up. Some of the coolant ports were way off. However it is the right length and the right width, well kind of. The fact that the new intake contours to the...
