I see a 6,000 rpm tachometer.
Edit: I see you are restoring an HPP truck.

Thanks all for the suggestions! These may be the bushings you need: https://**NOT ALLOWED**.com/brake-clutch-pedal-bushing-4294639/ What website was this intended for? Unfortunately the filter censored the link out. Weird that it shows up when I look at my post... easy - streetllc.com (take out the...

Re: Spare Tire Mount in the Bed
Would keeping the under bed set-up be better if some sort of cranking lift cable was utilized? I've never had good luck with those. They bind, the cables rust and the one on my current truck has never been used because I can't get it down. There were some sweptlines with a bed mounted tire carrier....

The 72 medium duty brochure lists a 5 lug wheel as standard for a D500 and a 6 lug as optional.

Re: 33" front tires on a 69 D200
Back in the day a member, Trey (wideblock66 ?), seemed to indicate that 31x10.5 were the largest you could run in the front on a D100/200 with stock suspension and no rubbing. He also indicated wheel size and backspace.
There was a member, Jonte, that lifted a D200.

Re: 1970 Dodge D500 powerwagon
The driveshaft wouldn't be at a steeper angle. The u joint between the axle and driveshaft would be at a steeper angle, due to the axle being tipped upward. Yes, but the longer the drive shaft the less that angle is. A divorced t-case that is further from the axle would have a lower UJ angle, pinio...

Re: 1970 Dodge D500 powerwagon
The whole pinion angle debate comes from the divorced vs married transfer case set-ups. 74 & back were divorced, meaning it is not bolted directly to the transmission, sets much further back from the front axle, uses a longer front propeller shaft and the axle differential is angled differently tha...

Re: 1970 Dodge D500 powerwagon
Tnx Bill, but you left the 0 out between the E and S. Funny, cuz that's the digit that indicates the year (70)  Swapping to a modern 8 lug front disc equipped axle would be a breeze, but many claim that the pinion angles of those axles won't work with the divorced NP205 transfer case. I'...

Per the data plate, it is a 1970. The Serial Number is E33BES105373 and decipherable to me.PwrWgnDrvr wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 9:04 pmThe actual VIN number is indecipherable in the pic. Based on the instrument cluster bezel, it is definitely a 70 or 71.

I think there was an issue when Scott scanned it, so it's not on your end. Unfortunately, I don't have it.

What are the chances the RV axle has the same gear ratio as the Dana 70 truck front you picked up?

What is wrong with the NP435 you currently have? Many of the 383 trucks came with a NP445, but that is going to be harder to find.

Re: How many D200’s had all these options
The Canadian brochure does mention that it is special equipment, but I don't recall seeing that in the US brochure. I'd have to look again. The 68 brochure I’m looking at shows ac as optional equipment. I did look at the 68 brochure I have and it also notes that A/C was special equipment. Special e...
