I recently took a ride in a friend's fairly new crew cab Ford. I couldn't get over, how much leg room there was in the back seat. It got me wondering, if anyone had ever stretched a crew cab Sweptline for more leg room in the back. Just wondering if anyone had seen it done before.

Re: chattering clutch
I'm not sure what brand of clutch it is. My friend bought it several years a go for his road runner and decided he wanted a different clutch. It probly came from napa or another local parts store. I tryed slipping the clutch and it doesn't chatter. Only when I take off from a stop. So, it's not the...

Re: chattering clutch
I just put a new clutch pack in my 69 w200. It also has a 360 in it and it now shudders when taking off. It feels like when you try and take off fast in reverse and the truck starts hopping. That's the best example I can compare it to. What type of clutch linings did you select? Can you creap the v...

Re: chattering clutch
bad news. I replaced my clutch disc and resurfaced the fly wheel becuase my rear oil seal was leaking and old disc was oil soaked. After putting the rebuilt disc in STILL get bad clutch chatter, grab, when I take off. I did not replace the pressure plate or throwout bearing. these only had about 50...

Re: Krazy Project: D200 CrewCab onto a Ram Dually Frame
Your biggest problem is going to be the distance from the front wheel to the front bumper. Sweptlines have more fender behind the wheel putting the wheel 6" closer to the front bumper. I'm planning on doing the same swap. I put together these measurements for a visual. The way I plan to fix mine, i...

Re: New guy from Indiana wants to build a 65-67
I'm still looking for a good crew cab close by. I check the adds that folks post in the for sale section. Still hoping to find a good one at the right price. I sure wish, I lived in Oregon. Seems like they sure sold a ton of them in that part of the country.

Re: What years?
Potentially any bed will fit then. You would have to determine the wheelbase you want or the wheelbase of your frame, if you are keeping it stock. The wheelwells are in a different location on the 61-early 65 long beds than on the late 65-71 long beds. They are roughly the same length. It might be ...

Re: What years?
Let us all know the year of your Sweptline. :Thumbsup :idea John So, I don't own anything...yet. I want to buy a 65.5 to 67 crew cab and marry it with a long bed. Then pull the cab and bed off my '01 club cab long bed and replace it with the 65.5 to 67 crew cab long bed. So, I am in process of buyi...

What years?
What years will the beds fit? I only know, the newer stuff. Like, I know a 1972 will fit a 1980 and a 1983 will fit a 1993. But, I am totally ignorant to the 60's stuff. I am interested, because I have a line on a bed not terribly far from me. I posted this in the for sale section too. I hope this i...
