Re: Source for new wind shields

Yes, The factory AC trucks had tinted glass all around. If anybody finds a supplier for the tinted windshield I'd like to know too. My truck had the tinted winshield, but it was broken, so I really don't want to put one of those newer style in it. They look so much better with the green windshield v...

Re: Rear axel swap

Depending on your bolt pattern. You can install any truck 8 3/4 1965 and up that were non-tapered axles. Backing plates, drums, etc. are all interchangable from 8 1/4, 8 3/4, 9 1/4, and passenger car Dana 60 housings as long as you swap everything and match your bolt pattern. This allows you to go f...

Re: Hubcap ID?

DSCF0470.JPG DSCF0469.JPG Here's a pic of the '61-'68 "moon" style stock dog dish hubcap I'm familiar with. If the chrome moon hubcap in the first pic is a stock cap for '69, I've learned something new. :Thumbsup As you can see in the pic above, this stock moon style cap snaps into the recess on th...

Re: Hubcap ID?

If it's a Camper Special, they could be the originals. 1969 Camper Specials came with moons. Only the D100's came with a full wheel cover. Dog dish caps were painted. W-Series had no hub caps. Also, D200 & W200 came with 16" split ring wheels only the optional 16.5 wheel was non-split.

Yes, the light green tinted windows and windshield were part of the AC option.

Jackson wasn't afraid to drive it. He used it a lot crushing cars, etc. It definitely wasn't a fairground queen.

Re: New problem, ran rough then won't start. HELP

OK, today I replaced the ballast resistor, distributor cap and rotor. Still nothing. Checked the ignition coil, getting 12 volts to it. Also ohm'd it out and getting 1.7 ohms which is normal. I pulled a spark plug wire and had my wife turn over the motor with the wire directly on the manifold. No s...

Re: Who's Selling The Monster Truck?

My only question is; "how do you get up into this truck" ? Probably like this guy does. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeGbm5RKb4U That's a sweet truck! Hopefully its still in that area for a few weeks. I could stop by and check it out. My kiddo's sure would love it. Originally built and owne...

Re: 70 on 78 frame

Ya, it's amazing how little Ma Mopar changed the frames, makes swapping things around pretty easy with a little measuring and thinking. Why go aftermarket, when its all right there and Mopar.
My sub-frame swap was the same way on my 69.
Nice job. :Thumbsup

It may have been for an old A/GS Willys called the Hemi-Hauler.

Anything those guy's build has a lot to be desired. After watching some of those shows, the name of the garage fits them to a "T" .

Sweptside Quarters

I know the tail sections for the beds are different, because of the tailgates and tail lights.
So, my question is are the early and late rear quarters the same other than the welded on tail section?
