Re: 1970 W100 paint question
Thank you guys very much. I think it is the light green poly. I’ll do research with the links you guys have given. From what I remember, it seemed like it was hard to post pictures on this forum, but I’ll try to attach a picture. There was someone who posted a 70 or 71 on market place yesterday that...

1970 W100 paint question
I have a question for all of the knowledgeable folks on this forum. My question is; as the title says, I have a 1970 W100 that came from the factory in a light green metallic. I’ve read that Dodge may have referred to it as light green iridescent? I’ve done a little searching online, haven’t been ab...

Re: Diff seals
I would guess that the spring is installed to keep the seal formed in a certain way to seal correctly around the yoke. It seems like a metal spring would last much, much longer in a low moisture oil bathed environment as opposed to being exposed to all the water, salt, dirt outside of the gearbox. T...

Drop axle
I am wanting to send my axle off to be worked on finally. Is there anyone even close to the PNW who can do the work? From what I've gathered, sounds like Sid's is the only place in the US that can drop an axle. I would like to use them but, I am scared to see what the shipping would be from Portland...

Sweptline sightings
Did a lot of driving for work over the last couple of weeks. Saw a really nice '70 or '71 swb driving on 167 north of Batesville AR, and another late model short ute in Deming NM. Both white. Always fun to spot sweptlines but really cool when they are nice ones. If these guys are members, nice trucks!

Re: Dodge Trucks in the movies and TVs
At pretty much the very end of the movie 'Two Guns' there is an obstructed shot of a early power wagon. Couldn't decipher if it was a crew cab. This is is a Denzel Washington, Marky Mark movie, I mainly watched for the Challenger. Much to my surprise it didn't get destroyed on camera.

Re: Leaning tower or poly?
Okay I will. Thank you. What is different with the -3 engines? I've heard they used different valves but other than that I am not sure.

Leaning tower or poly?
I have been kicking around the the idea of a new project. Exactly what I need... I usually lean towards big v8 power but fuel economy is looking more attractive. What are your thoughts on the slant 6 or poly? Leaning towards a stock rebuild on a poly. The truck would be a 64 short utiline with Dana ...

motorhome 440
I have a 440 out of a '77 dodge motorhome. I am going to do a mild build on it and it will be in a daily driver. I know these were 'low compression' engines. I am sure this subject has been addressed here before, but I don't have the energy to go back and search for the answer to my question. What e...

Re: good 318 build
:banghead I mean this in the nicest possible way. You can do whatever you want with your truck. More power to you. You think mileage sucks with a 318/727 combo? I used to really be into ferd trucks before I decided to take the road less traveled and become a dodge nut. I love the FE block ford, I th...

After thinking about my response... Obviously he had the hubs off, but did he replace cups and cones when he did the install?

Re: Disc Brake conversion
I have not done this install yet... but thought I might throw out the idea of checking the adjustment on the wheel bearings. From looking at the build on this truck I am sure he has already done that, but just my

Re: More CFM for 318 = big block BBD?
:thinking I parted/ scrapped a 1982 W350 318 with a vacuum secondary Holley on it. Yes it appears completely stock with a smog pump still in place. The engine is in my garage untouched. I will have to go look at it... if that is the case it is a square bore iron manifold. Oh, and to beat you to the ...

Re: Rear end is shot. Anyone have suggestions??
Either your brakes are hung up and you are trying to power through them or your trans is slipping like a mother. Just because it seems to operate normally with the drive axle off the ground doesn't mean that it is not slipping when it is trying to propel a heavy truck. Are engine RPMs high when you ...

hubcap help
I searched the forum for something I saw in the past but could not find it. Very likely that I ran out of patience also. I am looking for hubcaps for my 70 d200. They have the 'trizog' (?) emblem in the center. I think I have gathered that they came in aluminum and stainless versions. Just looking f...
