clutch peddle not returning fast enough
I know this is a common question but here it is again. My clutch comes back after being pressed, but slower than it should. Makes it tricky to drive. The weird thing is Ive tried various different springs at the slave cylinder and nothing seems to help it. I would think the spring at the slave cylin...

Re: fan shroud help
I have 3 shrouds here. 2 look like highschool metal shop made them and they will not work. My radiator is not mounted flush with the radiator support, its in towards the front of truck. All of my old shrouds are meant to mount flush. Also, the fan doesnt line up in the middle of the radiator, its of...

My 65D100 (4 eyed) wants to run hot when idleing. It doesnt matter what fan I have on it, fixed or clutch. Re: QUADS
My two cents worth, find a solid straight 4 eyed truck out west and pay to have it shipped to you, or go out yourself and pick it up. I almost converted my 4 eyed truck to a pie pan truck!!! Too bad, then I would have the set up you needed!!!!!

Re: Exhaust advise
I ended up running the 340 manifolds and relocating oil filter. Sounds meaner than hell with 2.5 exaust and flowmasters, nice flowing manifolds, and Carter 600 AFB on performer intake. NICE sound when 4bbls start to kick in. Truck is strong runner. Ill send pics soon. VERY happy how the 2 year proje...

Re: Exhaust advise
I think Im going to run a remote oil filter. It should mount inside the frame rail just under the cab. The 340 manifolds really give the motor a cool factor. They are much better designed. By the time it takes me to sand blast and paint the 318 manifolds, and take out the heat riser, I could have a ...

Exhaust advise
Almost ready to fire up my new 360 when a snag came up. Im putting 68 340 manifolds on with the idea to get the most out of the exhaust without headers. I want a simple engine with no hassles and I want it quiet. I hate header leaks and header ping. Also there is the cool factor of the 68 manifolds....

bypassing amp gauge
Ive read a few articles on bypassing the amp meter as this is the weakest link in the system and I am upgrading to a 60 amp alt. Some simply put in a 10 guage wire from starting relay directly to alt with fusable link and keep origianal wireing hooked up to amp gauge. Others completely take out the ...

Re: Cab Isolators
good luck finding rear rubber isolators. I couldnt. They are NS1 and you will have to find old new stock. I got the poly ones from summit and they needed to be slightly modified. Havent drivent my truck yet, so cant comment on ride quality but has to be better. My isolators and square patches were l...

Re: rear cab insulator needed
The thread above answered all my questions. Thanks a lot! I too was finding dead ends with no results. I would rather go rubber, but if there are no options polyurathane is better than the rock hard originals that are on now. Belive me they are ROCK HARD!!! Looks like Im ordering a kit from Summit. ...

rear cab insulator needed
Hi all, Im having trouble finding a rear cab insulator for my 65 D100. This is the 2 piece body to frame rubber. Ive been told that they are the same for all trucks up to the early 90s. Its a NS1 part now, cant get it new from the dealer. A dealer gave me part number 4113616 I called vintage auto pa...
