Re: new tank leak
That's what I'm not sure about. The only thing that changed was moving the tank out of the cab to under the bed. I'm using the same cap as before, but now when I take the cap off the pressure almost pops the cap off when I'm removing it. The build up usually occurs during the day. During the evening...

Re: electrical guru's please help
yeah sorry guess that is important info.. The truck is a 69 d100 lwb 727 trans with 3 pin nss. Everything that I have read says that the center wire on the switch is for the trans to only start in park or neutral which it does. According to the ron francis instructions I ran a keyed 12v source to on...

Electrical folks I need your help. I had the reverse lights wired thru a switch. I decided to run them correctly so they come on when in reverse. I wired the truck with the ron francis express kit. Dug out my instructions to try to figure it out and a day later I'm here asking for help. Instructions...

The engine is not orig. it was replaced by previous owner. casting # 4179730. I'm told it's from a 75-79 vin code G truck . according to the door plate it's an A727 3 spd. I'm ...

Re: jeep engine in my 69
Valentine's dinner didn't turn out well. Had reservations and was taking the wife out and we were taking the swepty since she had not been in it since I got it fixed. After leaving the house about 2 miles down the road the truck got really loud. I pulled over and noticed the manifold had broken wher...

Re: jeep engine in my 69
Been driving my truck for a few days now and it seems to run high in rpm's when out on the road. I'm thinking about swapping the trans to one with od. My question is is there an exact swap with minimal fab work. And what else would have to be changed. I have searched on here and could not find exact...

Re: jeep engine in my 69
well went for inspection. noticed at the gas station the right turn signal not that bright. had to take it home to fix it. Got that done, but when pulling out of the garage the rear drivers brake locking up under little pressure..Seems like it is never ending with this truck..

Re: jeep engine in my 69
idle was fine. I could rev and it was fine. I never tried to hold rpm's up. The only time I noticed it wanting to die out was while out driving. Almost like it was out of gas. Sometimes I could pump the gas and keep it running but other times it would die. I would let it sit for a minute or two and ...

Re: jeep engine in my 69
I've had the truck for about three years trying to work on it as I had time. I switched out the 2bbl for a 4bbl with intake. upgraded the front drum to disc and added power master. Rewired the entire truck with a kit from Ron Francis. New mech. fuel pump. All new brake lines and shoes with cylinders...
