Rumor has it that **NOT ALLOWED** will be carrying the big block motor mount brackets for our trucks soon...if you need a pair you should get ahold of Robin and ask...
I'm curious, what's the difference in the frame side motor mount pads from the '61-'65 pickups versus the '66-'71 pickups?...

Re: 440 chrysler in 1970 d100 shorbed? kinda urgent,
Be prepared to replace the water pump, timing cover and heads...the motorhome versions have a special water pump and timing cover, external coolant ports in the heads and most of sodium vapor filled valves...aside from that they're alright...just consider them a core motor that needs a rebuild...fre...

Re: Rusty cap mounts? Maybe i can help...
I didn't mean to sound ungrateful, sorry if I came off that way...if I hadn't already started building my own patches for this spot I'd buy a set of these...two key things would be making the bolt hole oversize or slotted to allow for body placement and if you could add the 90 degree lip that is spo...

Re: Rusty cap mounts? Maybe i can help...
You're almost going to have to make them tuck under the lip of the step, so that the stock spot welds can be drilled out...a lot of trucks are going to be rusted all along that seam at the edge of the floors...and a larger panel would help a lot, too...oh, and 12 gauge is overkill since the stock fl...

Re: Rust Repair, Floors, small rant haha.
I've had good luck with Napa Auto's 'Rust Preventer'...it's a white bottle of liquid you brush on and it neutralizes rust, then I just paint over that after it's dry using Ace Hardware's 'Rust Stop' paint...POR-15 is freaking expensive and Ace's paint is the exact same thing, and I don't mean simila...

Re: Movie remakes......terrible
I think 'True Grit' stands its ground nicely against the original...but I'm tired of the remakes...for one thing the last generation off GREAT actors that had heart, soul and style are getting too old to be taken seriously, and NOBODY in Hollywood these days has the charisma and character to fill th...

Re: Locking Engine Mounts
This is why the 413 in my drag car is solid mounted...I hate biscuit or block rubber mounts, all I need are the dimensions from the engine mount holes to the flat part of the upper mount and I'll fab my own setup with 3 round captive urethane bushings per side and I'm good to go...I'm not really a f...

Re: Locking Engine Mounts
Well, if breaking stock motor mounts is an issue then maybe I'm better off building my own strut style mounts with urethane bushings...I don't have the stock big block upper mount brackets anyway, and they seem to go for $50, so I guess I'm better off building better ones myself...good luck with the...

Re: Someone identify this for me
That's a Chrysler hemi in the powerwagon, not a Dodge...most likely a 354cu in...and the 426 was an entirely different engine family based off of the RB block, the early hemi engines from Chrysler were their own engine family, but true to Mopar form they reused the distributor design on the B/RB eng...

Re: Someone identify this for me
FYI, every Chrysler hemi is stamped with the engine size on a pad above the water pump and in front of the intake...and IND means it was an industrial motor, many of which came with hollow sodium filled valves to dissipate heat from continuos running, along with a camshaft intended to peak at a much...

Re: Someone identify this for me
The Dodge hemi's were the "baby" hemi, and they share nothing with the Chrysler hemi...Chrysler offered a 331 cu in starting in '51, a 354 came along around '53 or '54 and the 392 came along around '56 or '57...the Chrysler hemi was discontinued in '59 in passenger cars but was continued to be produ...

Re: Ever heard of the ScatPacker show truck?
It appears that the Scat Packer pickup has polished slot mags, or possibly the precursor to the Lil Red Express' chromed steel slotted wheels...while the Mr. Norm's pickup has what look like Keystone Klassics on it...it would be interesting to find the specs on this truck and what's under the hood.....

Re: Crazy Intake
Weird, my '68 SWB Utiline with the slant 6 was converted to propane too...I had no idea it was that common...the guy had a 1 gallon container under the hood for gasoline and I still haven't figured out how the propane is hooked up since it's been cold and snowy out, but there's all kinds of knobs an...

Re: I'm Floored
Layering metal on metal is just asking for bigger problems down the road...any gaps between the metal will allow condensation, and ultimately rust, to form and destroy what you were trying to save...add fiberglass or bondo to that mix and it'll get even worse since both will absorb moisture and hold...

Re: 1969 D100 slant six to 383 swap?
Are the trans mounts the same and in the same location between the slant 6 manual 3spd and a 727 torqueflite (specifically a pushbutton '63 727)?...I have a '68 Utiline SWB and I'm dead set on swapping in either a 361/pushbutton 727 or a 413/727 combo (both of which I have)...I love big blocks, espe...
