I have a good supply of native oak and black walnut, hard beech and maple, but no B'Darc handy. Now, we dug and burned B'Darc stumps in Texas and that was hell on chainsaws...

Re: under bed gas tank
I struggled to get my bed/cab alignment correct. I added spacers to the cab side to get correct. There is no adjustment on the bed blocks, It has been a struggle to get my truck looking as straight and nice as yours...two summers ago, I had to weld new rear cab mounts in...after of course, fabricat...

Re: under bed gas tank
very, very nice...Now, what is the clearance between the top of the FRONT of the bed and the bottom of the window? I need to get my bed laying perfect... I have a 68 utiline, short... The top of both wide and ute beds lines up with the ledge under the window, which is also the top of the door. Than...

Re: Pioneer Chainsaw P26
Glad the saw is working for you...you should try a MODERN saw one of these days and see the difference. I was up in the woods behind the house this weekend removing some maple trees blocking our DirecTV signal. My ten year old MS290 Stihl Farm boss just keeps on going...and I can maintain it locally...

I am a big fan of the Oregon antikick back chain...but with the limited use it will get, vibration is not a big issue.

Re: Pioneer Chainsaw P26
my gosh that is an old saw...get the semi-chisel chain, I doubt they make low kickback for it. And no chain safety stop either. BE CAREFUL.

You might want to try Jacks Small Engines, http://www.jackssmallengines.com/ for a chain, bar and air filter. They have been my go to company to maintain my Poulan Pro saw, and other small pieces of equipment. I can get Stihl parts and service at my local hardware store. Jacks has the good Oregon ba...

Re: more pulling brakes
I went through this LAST year on my 68 D100 Ulitline...It would pull HARD to the left when braked, and all shoes, wheel cylinders, hydraulics were good. What I finally found was a FRAYED self-adjustment cable on the right front, so while the left front and great contact all the way around, the right...

Speedometer Cable Routing
I was trying to lube the speedo cable on my 68 Utiline Shortbed, 318/727 and I think the cable is routed improperly. While Rock Auto parts fiche show either a 62 or a 82" cable, I had a 72" or so cable, routed not through the firewall, but into the top of the transmission tunnel which gives it some ...

Re: 225 Slant six rebuild?
What you really need for the holley carb is the later super six manifold...I am running a Holley 7448 two barrel 350 cfm on my 62 Town Wagon, I just had to jet it a little leaner than stock, Holley 2300 series carb. If the engine is making noise or using oil, yank it and get it rebuilt, running it i...

Why don't you just design your own system and have your local shop do your bends to order? JC Whitney used to sell and probably still sells prebended pipe segments.

Re: 1969 318 Dual Exhaust (w/Headers)
Midas is a high production shop, low wage workers working frantically on mufflers, pipes, brakes and shocks. Ever since we got emission controls and stainless steel exhaust systems muffler shops have not done well. They have to justify the very high overhead somehow...for the time it takes to fix yo...

Re: 1969 318 Dual Exhaust (w/Headers)
When I put my 68 Utiline Shortbed, 318/727, together, the entire exhaust got replaced, hedman header from summit, purple horny glass packs bolted to the headers and finally a local shop bent some pipe for turnouts under the bed steps in front of the rear axle...I think I was under $300 for EVERYTHI...

My guess is that bottom ring, the compression ring is bad. Try a leakdown test and see if you air out the breather.

Re: 1964 dodge d100 Oklahoma shops?
I just did a four wheel brake job on the 68 Utiline D100, Rock Auto had brake shoes at $6.75 per axle, hardware and self adjustor kits under $5 per wheel and front drums and front bearing seals on closeout. Mine was pulling to the left HARD it was nothing more than a bad self adjust cable on front r...

Paid $1250 for the 68 D100 Utiline a decade ago, did a mechanical overhaul, rebuilt engine, trans, front end, suspension, brakes and such. Probably have 5k into it, based mainly on the mechanical over cost, plus tires, $400 seat recovering, body and rust repair, new IV trailer hitch... What is it wo...

Re: under bed gas tank
When I was having trouble with the tank in the Town Wagon, I started looked at the JAZ fuel cells. You can order them by size and by filler position and I am pretty sure we can get them with the correct sender for MOPAR AND place the filler almost anywhere we want. I was looking at about $500 for th...
