Re: Big block engine mount pic?

The ones listed at the 440source site certainly are cheap enough, aren't they? Looks like I'll be askin' Slanta Clause for a pair...

Re: Big block engine mount pic?

Looks like I have the wrong ones then. Couple of things about mine, the bottom hole doesn't line up, and it looks as though mine would bring the block further forward about 1/2" or so. Dunno if that half inch would really matter, but the bottom hole not lining up would be a problem with a stout moto...

Big block engine mount pic?

Seems the mounts I removed from the boneyard truck, that had a 400 in it, won't bolt up to my 1962 413. I'm unsure of the year of the 400 that was in the donor, but I thought that all the big block mounts were the same. Anyone have a pic of the big block mounts?

Re: 1965 D200 Crew Cab

Haven't posted in awhile, so here's an update. We've decided to put a big block and automatic in the crew cab. I bought a built 413 Max Wedge motor and 727 Torqueflite trans to drop in the truck. Right now I'm going thru the engine and freshening it up with new bearings, new oil pump, timing chain, ...

Re: I want to see some pics of custom gauge setups

Boons, I like that set up alot. I'm going to use polished diamond plate for mine, but will probably do the gauges very similar to yours.....

Re: Big block ID....

So the intake manifold is from a 1973 440, but I'm not going with the factory intake for this motor. We're using a tunnel ram with 2 450 Holley 4bbls. Let's just say it's a 413 Max Wedge and be done with it....Hmmmmm wonder where I can get one of those funky long tube intakes on the cheap?!?!?!?! Th...

Re: Big block ID....

Facechicken, for some reason the casting number on each side of the block has been ground away, at least the last three numbers have, no idea why. And on the driver side below the casting number there has been a block repair weld that obscures the numbers that are below the casting number, although ...

Big block ID....

Got a couple questions for all the big block gurus here, and I need help identifying the block and heads. Block number is 1852029. What I'm finding online is that it's a 1962 Truck or Max Performance 413 block. What's the difference between the Truck and Max Performance? Is "Max Performance" called ...

Hood

Recently found a very nice hood from what we believe is a '62 D100 Utiline in a local boneyard. From the looks of the truck I'd say it may BE a '62, but the yard and myself are unsure. Anyhoo, bought this jewel for $40 so that I'd have a hood to cut an opening in when I install my 413/tunnel ram mot...

My '65 crew cab has only ONE on the passenger side. Driver side fender doesn't have a hole for it....odd.

Overheating

As some of you know, I've been working on getting out '65 crew cab back on the road after a decade or so of being in a farmers field. I've gotten the truck to the point of driving it some last week, maybe 150 miles or so total. Initially it would overhear (gauge at 3/4 or higher) in less than 10 min...

Re: 1965 D200 Crew Cab

I wouldn't really say we're DRIVING it yet. We've been on a couple of test drives in the 20 mile range is all so far. Right now the issue is overheating...I think there's something going on with the water pump, :banghead :banghead but won't know til this weekend. Not a whole lot of power either. Get...

Re: 1965 D200 Crew Cab

FINALLY drove the crew cab on the road for the first time today, put about 30 miles or so on it. It's been a long, hard 7 months since we first put our hands on it, and it felt great to get it out and about! Tons of shows this weekend that I'd love to drive the Dodge to, but I'm a musician and have ...

Re: where can i get transmission mounts?

OK gang, here's the deal; I've gotten both of the Anchor 2240's to work. With a little "engineering" I've been able to make both fit. Only thing I had to do was shave the bellhousing area where the bolt for the stud rests. Had to make a slight dip so that the stud would stick up a little further. Th...

Exterior door handle

I'm in need of an exterior door handle for the driver rear door of out '65 crew cab...it's the same as the driver front as far as I can tell. Anyone have an extra layin' around collecting dust? I could sure put it to good use!

Re: Lowering options?

I've been reading, and reading, and reading......my eyes are killin' me! But, I think I'm gonna make an attempt to pull some springs outta the crew cab tomorrow. I like the way it looks now, but I wanna LOVE the way it looks...if you know what I'm getting at. Oh yeah, and a 413 tunnel ram motor is i...

Re: where can i get transmission mounts?

Although I haven't modded/shaved the Anchor 2240 mount yet, I'm going to this weekend. If I were going to keep the slant and 4 speed in the crew cab I'd honestly look at buying the correct insulators for $200. But since we're pulling this engine/trans combo out in December in lieu of the 413/727 com...

Re: where can i get transmission mounts?

I was thinking last night, as I lay in bed and couldn't sleep cuz I'm always thinking about the crew cab, that I'd shave down the rubber about a half inch or so. Not the greatest solution, but it's better than getting an eyeball dug out with a rusty butter knife.
