I picked up a 04 crown Vic almost a year ago for the front suspension and the darn thing runs to good to just take apart. 700 bucks for the whole car from a local towing outfit.it's an ex taxi and bright yellow lol

I know what you mean with other projects, so little of summer left. I will let you know how it goes when I flip the axle, I did pick up some steel today for doing it, just need to carve out a day or two to get

I haven't drove mine yet so I dunno how soft it is. I was thinking if aa person flips the axle basically all thhe steering parts move up so moving the gearbox up would tackle the bumpsteer because leaving it where it is stock puts the parts in a funny angle creating the bumpsteer. after reading through this thread several times, I decided to give the spring removal a shot.after removing 3 leafs from my 8 spring pack. I netted a 2 inch drop was hoping for more . How much more drop wwould flippping thhe axle get me? I got some new 50 seriies tires and the truck has gottaa come ...

Ok did check pedal pivot point.... not sticking there will lube it this evening though. The master makes a suction type noise when i pull the pedal out the rest of the way.it has no visible leaks. Ok not doing it in the rain ... did look and found the adjustment, there is also some adjustment om thr pedal shaft to. clutch pedal problem
So my clutch pedal doesn't come back out all the way anymore. It stops a couple inched short. I checked the slave cylinder and it appears to have been rebuilt by the previous owner. Haven't checked the master yet. Any suggestions as to what's goin on? Its a 60 with the poly. It does still engage and...

So i have a 60 stakebed with the poly and 3 speed manual tranny and have never been real happy with the super long throw. I came across automatic on ebay it appears to have come out of a 61 car. Would this work on my poly? I know i would need a crossmember and the shifterfor in tbe cab. Will my bell...

I was at work earlier so i was breif...either 59 or 60 were the first alternator years and sychro trans (wich mine doesnt have). I love the poly 318 but gettiin an auto tranny for it is proving to be quite difficult.wich is why i was(and still am )considering the 59 with the big block and auto trann...

I have a gm alternator in my 60. Ideally i want it to be an automatic, just dont dig the super long throw..exactly what autos should i look for.that 59 has alot of the interior that i need.hmmmm

It looks like its supposed to have duals but it doesnt...tires stick out from under bed thats no biggie my 60 has a stakebed and i can switch beds and put duals back on it if thats the case. Its definately a hravy duty truck power giant maybe???

Pretty sure its a big block 383 i am gonna go look at it in person next weekend if its for sale still. And buy it if its worth what the guy wants...i will need till then to scrape up thd money __and borrow a trailer to get itbback here.its almost a 100 miles away.

You gotta love hardware stores and lowes when it comes to replacing the hard to find stuff on our trucks. I have a brass bushing from the local hardware store that i had to use as part od my steering column bearing cuz i could find no stock replacement
