I can't remember if it was on a LA 318 but I have had an issue before with the pick up tube catching on the windage tray.ufo wrote:Sounds like you are hanging up on the oil pick up tube.

70' Crewcab body/frame swap
Like most swepty 4x4 owners I would like to set my truck up for power steering and have been looking for a safe economical way to do this. In the mean time my decrepit 318 finally chewed up the cam and I lost the front 2 cylinders on the motor. In my search for a replacement motor I found a 78' club...

Re: bed welded to frame
A previous owner of my truck thought he was a welder and has welded all kinds of silly areas on the truck including the bed. If I knew who the guy was that did it, I would put my steel toe boots on and kick him with as much force as possible right in the chogies. I have over 6 hours in grinding done...

Every year I keep hoping that global warming will change that. I was going to make a T-shirt that said something along the lines of " Alaskans for global warming now" to help support my cause.PwrWgnDrvr wrote:Another month and u will be desperate to see 30 degrees, and some daylight....

Shop cleaning
So with the onset of winter here in the great white north I decided to clean the shop out in anticipation of long hours hiding from the cold and working on projects. I am not sure how I let the shop get this out of hand but the place is in shambles right now. I have ripped all the tools out of the b...

Driving home from work today in the 70 crewcab and the throttle cable broke off inside the plastic housing with no way to retrieve it. Trucks sitting there idling but I got no way to give it gas. So I get on the handy dandy cell phone and start making calls no one can come rescue me and I am looking...

Re: 1968 D200 Power Wagon $8700.00 ?????
I would not pay more than $3000 maybe $3500 for that truck. I would save my money until you get back then do what I call "driving for dogs", it's basically just mindlessly driving around back roads and checking out the crap in people's back yards. In fairly short order you should run across somethin...

Re: Look what followed me home
The truck is pretty beat up but I have found almost zero rust on it. Interior Alaska's humidity is so low its classified as high desert, good on cars as long as they aren't left to rot in the tundra .After much cursing, some bleeding and maybe a little weeping, I changed the steering column out and ...

Look what followed me home
Hi I'm kinda new here, I've been lurking on the forums forever but this is the first time I have posted. I have a couple of W200's in the yard but I never had the proper motivation to make a go of them. I have recently found myself in need of a new full size truck and started making plans to get one...
