Jimmy is on the mark, I would take 4" in a doglegged drag link and and do a 4" block.

The alternative is crossover steering but I'm looking into a IH Scout II box as they are crossover from the factory.

Larry, It sounds to me like you are plumbed into manifold vacuum instead of ported vacuum. I am a retired Aerospace Composite Toolmaker and could build the mold
for this hood. I would furnish the first hood at cost if this truly is Boynton's
truck. There should be a shrine and we could all pilgrimage there to be in
its greatness. T-shirt sales alone could pay for the resto.
