Old radiator swap thread?

I swear there was an old thread on someone swapping in a radiator from a 95ish and up Ram. I have searched all over and can't find it, anyone have the link?

Re: Tailgate Hinges

I know it's an old thread but I hope that no one minds that I add to it. Back story.... I was in a rush to get my truck painted and needed a good tailgate that wasn't rotted along the bottom so I did some trading and got a no script tailgate not knowing or even looking at the hinges. All I knew was ...

Dash frame swap.

Will the earlier dashes, say 65-68 all bolt into a 69 cab? I know the bulkhead connector and wiring is not the same but other than that will the dash frame it self physically fit the cab?

Just got an email back from him.... "I make engine mounts for the slant six, V8 Dodges and the 1st gen diesel Dodge trucks. Never had one break yet. Re: Tell me about trans mounts

I just sent an email to http://polybushings.com/index.html to see if he has anything or what it would take to get some made up. There has got to be something out there because I refuse to pay $100 for a chunk of rubber with 2 plates just because it has a stupid mopar logo and number on it!

Re: Will it all work?

I hate the look of the stock bumpers because they stick out too far and just look goofy. I like how the van bumper follows the contour of the truck. After I paint the truck in a few months I will get a nice chrome van bumper for it. As for saving other parts that is up to the owner. I know he is goi...

Re: Tell me about trans mounts

I know it's a blast from the past but I am having the same issue with these. I have killed 2 of them so far and was wondering if anyone came up with an idea on how to make it work. I just go off the phone with the local dealer and they say that P/N 3640385 has been canceled and no dealers or wareho...

Re: Planning a future 2WD CREWCAB build, what do I need?

Ideally I want to just take a crewcab body and SWB box, build some mounts and drop them on a newer frame. Newer as in something newer than the late 80's with fuel injection and OD I don't care if it is a 4, 6 or 8 cyl or how new it is. If that won't work then I am not afraid of doing a subframe I'm ...

Re: Planning a future 2WD CREWCAB build, what do I need?

I will agree with all of them except money. If you already have the tools and knowhow the rest is no problem. I think the hardest part will be finding a decent cab to start with. I've been building this for my wife for a few years now and have spent next to nothing on it, and yes that is a slant six...

Re: Planning a future 2WD CREWCAB build, what do I need?

Doing a rear subframe is no big deal, so what would be the best year/model truck to cannibalize? I'm thinking that the hardest part will be dealing with the gauges/column.

Planning a future 2WD CREWCAB build, what do I need?

I'm bored and sitting in a motel (work) so I have decided to start thinking about what I want to build after I get the 56 Olds on the road so here is the rough outline. -CREW CAB SHORT WIDE bed 2WD, I prefer the look of 69-71 but I won't be picky if an earlier one shows up for cheap. -Slant six to s...

STOLEN CAR!!!

I also am a member of www.forabodiesonly.com and one of our members just had his 66 Dart wagon stolen from his shop in Banning, CA. It is a very unusual car that will stick out anywhere as it has a late model V6 transplanted into it and it is tri-colored brown/tan/and silver. Let us or the local PD ...

Re: drive shaft length

The trans I'm getting is an iron truck trans and comes with a bellhousing, resurfaced fluwheel, new clutch and shifter so I won't have any issues with that. I know I will need a 904 yoke and I have one already I just need to know the right length of drive shaft I need.

drive shaft length

I have a 69 SWB with a slant, 8 3/4 and what I believe to be a non syncroed 745 3 speed. I am getting a iron OD 4 speed this weekend and need to know what the correct drive shaft length will be so I can raid my buddies pile to save some time and money. Also, will the current bellhousing work with th...
