Re: Oh check this out! Ya just gotta!!!

check out that cheesy grin!!!!! it is totally amazing how a paint job can boost a truck guys emotions. That is a really sharp truck you have there. You should be proud, i would be. you remind me of the day i got my 69 charger back from paint many years ago. I drove all over town showing her off. tha...

Re: Fuel lines go into the roof?

I was just in this area on my 71 in past couple days.. My truck had sat so long with the varnish in the tank , that it completely clogged the end of the pick up tube ( next to the sending unit). I decided to save myself some grief and take it out , clean it up reall good , clean and replace fuel lin...

Re: Lots of Trucks..

what seems to be the problem up north? Dont you folks believe in the concept of road salt in the wintertime? These trucks should have been recycled by now. joking, man i wish i came across material that clean around here. not much older than mid eighties in salvage yards, usually early 90's . looks ...

Re: New Sweptline Owner in So. Cal

yep,

i can see a scotty behind that truck of yours, with or without the camper shell. Has that truck got the original paint on it? From the front view, the paint shines and those chrome bumpers glare like new.

absolutely fantastic,

Re: Did a little work on the W500 Fire Truck

damn, those are sharp firetrucks, they have a stance and swagger of their own. I didnt realize it was a powerwagon as well, guess i would have brought it home if i could. That bubbegum centerlight is a must have. would love to come visit with you sometime, that old red powerwagon is just way too coo...

Re: New Sweptline Owner in So. Cal

life can be sweet sometimes. That is one cool looking ride. I think you might want to keep the camper to side, incase sometime you decide to do some retro style camping.

looks like a true find.

good luck with your new toy

Re: radiator options?

Re: Did a little work on the W500 Fire Truck

The cab area of your truck looks darned near new!!! I always thought the old firetrucks where cool, just never really thought about what i would do with one if i had it. Probably think of some crazy reason to drive around with the lights on!!!! i agree with the last poster, that looks like typical e...

Re: radiator options?

i am going to have to do something on this silly radiator, the substitute GM one really isnt even close to a fit, and now has a couple little leaks, before dumping money into this, i would rather get a mopar type one that fits better. I know i am not the first to have to deal with this problem. than...

radiator options?

Back on this 71 slant six again. currently, the radiator is a gm style unit with the heads and tank on the ends of the radiator, instead of top and bottom as standard. I havent been able to find a replacement in local wrecking yards( they got crushed with last years scrap prices) I would like to at ...

Re: My 318 4 bbl Carb needs replacing - Need Carb advice

you got off lucky with a cheap quick fix. its amazing what a little cleaning will do sometimes. I used to have an 83 d150 that was a personal play toy( she would scoot) that had a slightly warmed over 318 auto in it. it was a combo vehicle , i used for both personal fun, but also towed loads as heav...

Re: Dodge Trucks in the movies and TVs

I was watching a short film of the making of the Sam Pecingpaw film "The Wild Bunch" , another great western i might add. But in several scenes during the film it showed a pie plate dodge what appeared to be a short bed, of course it looked great , it might have been 2 or 3 years old at the time. du...

Re: just getting my dodge up for the first time

i agree with hobcobble, the red, white, and blue look like the old amc nascars and the transam cars . probably lots of you dont remember them, heck i really only know of them from pics in books as i was probably 5 or 6 when they where racing. I thought i kinda liked the 3 color scheme, then when i s...
