Re: My 68 and 71 Wagons
Wow... You did a lot of work in the last few months. :pale (The only reason I asked about any other pics, is that it looked familiar... :thinking ) Castle Rock isn't a bad little town. They have a good hardware store and lumber yard. The Auto parts stores (we have 2 believe it or not), are getting ...

Re: Just moanin'-good ol' days of parts in stock
RockAuto (internet) has all those parts. Very reasonably priced. I use them for parts often.

Re: My 68 and 71 Wagons
Nice rigs! Any more pics of the 68? :Thumbsup Keith :salut Here's a "before" pic of my '68. I got it June 5th. It had been sittin' in the previous owner's back yard for 12-15 years. Came back to life very quick. Now I need a new project. I see you are in Castle Rock. My step-son lives there. Thanks...

Re: My 68 and 71 Wagons
Thanks Hob, these are my latest finds. I had 2 '66 D200's and a '70 W100 SWB. Sold those and went huntin' for more. I tell my wife a man can't have too many old Dodges or guitars. I see you're in Lockport. Been there years ago. I lived in Niagara Falls while I was working on the power project in '60...

Re: My 68 and 71 Wagons
They're both a kick to drive because of all the attention they generate. No matter which one I'm driving I always get asked where I got it, what year it is, what I paid, and practically everyone says "You don't see many of those any more". I say you don't see many because there weren't that many to ...

Re: Radiator
You're in Elmira? I had the same problem with my '71. Bought one that was supposed to be the right one, was the wrong one. Sent it back. Learned of A-1 radiator at 5th and Lawrence in Eugene. The guy rebuilt my stock radiator. Put in new core and used the tanks of the old one. Absolutely perfect and...

Re: My 68 and 71 Wagons
I installed spacers on the wheels. Still had to re-engineer (re-position) the clamps that snap onto the lugnuts.

My 68 and 71 Wagons
Thought I'd share a few pics of my two latest finds. 71 from original owner, 318, auto. 71K actual mi.-- '68 from same owner since 74. 90K mi. 383, 4spd. Refurbishing consisted of mainly clean-up and new seat covers plus the usual little stuff to get 'em back on the road. Both run like new. Jer

Re: Engine/ Tranny combos
Hola There We all start some-where. Welcome I am now a little puzzled for in 1966 there were no 383 cubed factory trucks. What is the date of mfg for your truck ( it is on an plate rivited near the catch/latch on the driver's side of the door frame ). There is also the 400 cubed V8 if you are looki...

Engine/ Tranny combos
My first post: I have a 66 D200 383 4spd. I'm planning on replacing the engine with another big block (383-440). All the engines I find are mated to an auto trans. My question is : will an engine from an auto trans car or truck bolt right up to my granny 4spd? I hear that an auto tranny engine has a...
