Re: Lockup torque converter switch. 1977-78

:goodpost That 10,000 day calender thing, how'd Mopar come up with that? Why not stamp the actual date & be done with it. :thinking Bucky Then there would be nothing to decode!!!! And, the END of that calendar has dire implications for the planet as well. The ending of calendars is catastroph...

Re: Lockup torque converter switch. 1977-78

Rodger, the # on the drivers side is: PK40583311-6507-5904 I know the last 3 numbers are 904 but its not a 904.It has the 727 pan and not the 904. The truck I know for sure was a 1/2 ton longbed. slant six w/auto. It possiby had a towing pkg. It was the original trans. I was told and loked on the v...

Re: floor dimple measurement needed

My mounts are rusty as well. I'm wondering if the dimple is critical to the repair.
I was planning to just slip a flat panel in there from below.
Will I run into a problem??

Re: D500 Bus (aka Chicken Coop)

My Champion motorhome was bought just for the 440/727 BUT from the outside it still looks like a functioning motorhome. It is, however, gutted. With the blinds down and curtains closed, it's a perfect stealth storage shed for all kinds of auto parts that would otherwise pi$$ off the neighbors!!! And...

Re: D300 dually wheel help

My 62 D300 has 17 inch 6 bolt 2 piece rims.

A local big rig tire store told me that new one piece rims are available on special order for my truck but they are expen$ive.

Re: 440 won't start

Sounds like a logical conclusion.

Carb is a Q-Jet destined for a rebuild but I was hoping I could start it and move it for the winter and deal with the carb over winter.

440 won't start

I have a 440 in a 1975 Champion motorhome which is destined to go in the 62 D300 eventually. After sitting for 3 yrs I went out a week ago to wake it from it's slumber. Fresh battery, fresh gas, some gas for primer and after some coughing, backfiring and complaining it started up and when warm ran v...

D300 column drop

My 62 D300 has quite a big drop on the dash column mount. Not being as svelte as I like to think I once was, I'm wondering if that drop can be made closer to the bottom of the dash? I've done a bit of looking and can't quite figure out why the drop is so much. Can I eliminate it or at least lessen i...

White Steering Wheel Question

I have a white steering wheel that I was thinking of putting on my 62 D300. It's in decent but not perfect shape.

THE WHITE WHEEL WAS SOLD

(It came off a D100 and fit perfectly on a 62 D300)

Re: STEERING WHEEL HELP ON MY 69 W200???

Did you actually try the wheel to see if it would go on? I have a tilt/telescope column out of a 70's Chrysler and my big black original wheel had the same splines. I did have to make some "adjustments" to use it but only because of the telescope business. Still needs work in that department but it...

Re: Okay... (Damage photos up!)

Based on my dealings with insurance companies, I would simply take the $2000, keep the old truck and move on. If you fight them over an old truck, you will in all likelihood piss them off and they will take the offer off the table. You can certainly replace yours with $2000. Remember, insurance is o...

Rhino Lining would look right, give you some sound deadening too. They can do any color you like or you can paint it yourself.

Re: need help with a loud neighbor

You could call the FBI re: the stolen cars. If they have crossed a state line, it's FBI jurisdiction and they will look into it. If it were me, though, I would get earplugs and ride it out. They will get shut down by some other means than you eventually. You are risking unknown retaliation these day...

Re: non swepty, but need help with this plymouth P.O.S...

A transmission guy told me that many times the Caravan transmissions will act up because the battery is weak. They are shifted electronically so it does make sense. Also, never drive one for long with a weak battery for the same reason...it's causing some significant damage. There is also a solenoid...

I read what you wrote and I read what he wrote. He has an excuse, you don't. You're supposed to be the mature adult.
He's a kid, trying to learn to be an adult.

You reacted like a 12 yr old in the playground, and still are.

Anyway, this ain't the place for that so I'm done with it.
Peace :salut

Unclear as to why you hate a kid you've never met and why you feel the need to advertise your considerable intolerance here.
