Re: Relocating frame rear crossmember
To answer your question at the start of this post, the cross member and the spring support brackets are not connected to each other. they are separate pieces. When I did mine, I just moved the cross member back about 5 inches and bolted it into the frame rails.

Re: ...and now, for something completely different!
I dont believe this can be done in a cost effective manner, regardless of the manner used. You just plain dont get the same efficiency as you do wiht an internal combustion engine.
Does score high on the cool points chart though.

Re: Just got some good parts.
Refrring to a rust free cab as "good parts" is like referring to the holy grail as a "neat trinket"....
We here in the northeast/rust belt would give quite alot for one of those.
Great score!

Re: Brake Bleeding Problem---HELP!!
maybe I am missing something here.
you said you bled one wheel cylinder, but then said that no fluid came out. not possible if you bled it.
Did you bleed the master cylinder before trying to bleed the brake lines?

Re: Having trouble ID rattle noise.
seems to me that if it only happens at 50 mph and not at lower speeds with the same engine rpm, this would seem to eliminate clutch or throwout bearing as the cause and lead more towards a driveline or final gear set in the transmission issue.

Dont know if it is just urban legend, but I read once that they only used one Stang and one Charger for the entire filming of that movie.

Re: Dakota Clip
The wheelbases look to be within 2-3 inches of various Sweptlines so you might be able to use the entire frame depending on what you have. You would have to compare the frames and track width and see if it is feasable. I would like to see someone figure out if this can be done because I've heard pe...

Re: Motor City Sheet Metal?
Havent bought from them, but just looking at them in comparison to others on EBay, they dont have the dimple for the cab mount bolt and do not appear to have all the right bends as factory. Those offered by seller Kennydrives look much better and closer to original.
