I found the ad at buffalogal.com. I am wrong. It is the Chevy as said by others. Guess I blew it.

Re: priceline.com tv commercial
That green van is not the black one in the commercial I watched. The green van is a GM van with out any doubt. The Taco Johns commercial I spoke of has a black van that they stuff a bison in. The black van has no lettering apperent in the ad.

Re: priceline.com tv commercial
I will watch the commercial again, but I am fairly certain it is a Dodge. I know the chevy and ford vans of that era, and most of the time I call them right. After reading the post again I am not sure which van is said to be a chevy, however the price line van is an A100 and I still think the Taco J...

There is also a Taco Johns commercial running in the midwest that has a black A100 van with a bison in it. The A100's are back.

Re: Holy Rocker Arms!
The LA engine rocker is oiled through the shaft. You said loose again? If it was loose before that is your problem. A rocker shaft that is not in contact with the shaft stands will not be fed oil, to then feed to each rocker. Also having the shaft mounted upside down or with the rockers misplaced (m...

Re: 07 Ram 1500ST and OEM tires
I have had good Good Years, and bad Good Years, but Cooper have always been good. I have been told that OEM tires are crap on almost any car. They didn't get selected for quality, just price.

Re: Cold starting issues
If starting fluid gets her to go, it has to be a fuel shortage problem. Maybe the carb has an internal leak and the float bowls empty while it sits. However, if a shot of starting fluid gets it to go and not quit after the starting fluid (starting fluid would be used up in a second or two and after ...

Re: Paint suppliers
I have used PPG and PPGs world paint "Omni System". The more expensive paint is better, no doubt. BUT, it costs so much more it had darn well better be nicer. I find that the Omni System finishes are very nice for the money. They are at the ppg dealer and will save you 50%.

Re: Just got a donor '80 Custom 400
A D400 may have less smog stuff on it than a D100 or D200. If I remember right the D300s didn't have cat. converters until long after the D100s. If you put old exhaust manifolds on a head with the emissions ports you will have an exhaust leak. The old manifolds will not cover the emissions ports. Yo...

Re: Auxilary Under Seat Heater?
I have no info on how it was done in a Sweptline, but I have seen heater like that in a 1981 Dodge B300 15 passenger van. That van used a vacuum operated coolant valve under the hood that had twin valves, one for the front heat and one for the rear heat. It was controled by an in dash push button mu...

Re: D300 West Coast Style Mirrors
I think Larry will ship them. You can call him direct at 507-281-4111 at Fleens truck parts. You may have to try a couple of times. He works alone mostly, and is old school and may be afraid of the toll call to Canada. The yard is in southern Minnesota. If that doesn't work I can get some pictures a...

I know where there are 3 sets in a junk yard but none are stainless or chrome. They are all painted white on D400's and D500's.

Re: Restored Sweptline Race Car Hauler At Minnesota Show
Check out the front cover of the December 2008 Mopar Collectors Guide. There is some more information regarding this truck. It won't be on news stands for a few weeks yet. It is quite sad that I missed that show. It is only 30 miles in from me in Elkton Mn (I am in Rochester MN), but I didn't think ...

Re: radiator compatibility pass. car- truck?
I can't answer your question about a car radiator. I can tell you that there are radiators out there for 72 and up Dodge pickups that are the exact core size and shape for a 71 Adventurer, but they need to have the 72 and up brackets removed and the 71 and down brackets soldered on.

Re: Where is best
I got mine from Vintage Powerwagons and they look good, they need plenty of trimming and a bit more bending to be a great fit. I have purchased replacement floors from mills supply for a 74 Dodge pickup before, and they were finished better for an easier install. The ones from Vintage PWs are a good...

cab mounts
Does anyone have a picture of a good front cab mount. I am trying to do some floor pans and fix the cab mount, but there is some missing and I am not sure what to make it look like. I would be grateful for any help.
