After finally rounding up some extra cash for brake drums, I am unable to locate any for my 68 D-100. Autozone and Napa both say they dont have them and cant get them. Anyone have any ideas that would help????

Would you mind posting some pics of the shifter cable routing, I have the shifter but no cable. Have no clue where it runs from the shifter.

I guess that would be useful information, its a 68 D-100, I don't know the brake size off hand. I will have to make a trip to the garage to investigate. Funny how I have to make the truck stop before I can make it go.

I could use some help here, I need to replace the brake bars for the emergency brake. I found that new ones are not available. There are some universal ones to be had, but I would rather stick with the real deal. I am hoping that someone might have spares hanging around and feel inclined to help a b...

Ok I wasn't in my swepty but I was in a dodge

The lower hose is new and does not have the internal coil. Looks like I wont be able to get back at it til after Christmas without getting the wife in an uproar plus its turning cold again. Best bet is to wait until I have plenty of time to troubleshoot without causing any holiday drama.

The new rad is for a 73 D-100 with a 383 same size rad just differant mounts and hose locations, theres probably and inch and a half gap between fan and rad with no shroud. OK here's my story, trying to get the ole truck running I needed a radiator and bought a new one. The lower hose had to be switched from driver side to passenger. Found a cast iron passenger side pump housing and swapped it out. Everything installed started engine filled with coolant and once it war...

From the pics I have found of these headers mounted on a block it appears that the bell shaped engine mounts will be an issue. Perhaps I can just swap them out to the later model mounts and all will be well. Or maybe I will just keep the oem manifolds and worry about it at a later time.

I was debating on a set of shorty headers for my 68 big block since I have the cross member situation. Has anyone used these instead of cutting the cross member out?
