Re: stalling
Update. Ran gumout in the tank, Shot the carb with cleaner and adjusted the idle mixture back to Holley specs (close, then 1 1/2 turns out on both screws). Works just fine when cold. Still stalls after warm- up. Re-build in the works.

Re: stalling
Actual mileage undetermined. No Black smoke. The vacuum question is a good one. Could it be the diaphram on the carb or distributor

stalling
I've got a stalling issue that I need help with. 1970 D200, 318, auto with a Holley 2209 2-barrel carb. Granted the carb could use a re-build but there's something about this problem that I've never come across before. Carb acts as it is supposed to. Choke works well, fast idle and slow idle are fin...

Re: Sun Visor ???
I worked for Laysons for a couple of years. Try as I might to get things turned around (made some progress) but it was frustrating to say the least. To be honest, Layson is his own worst enemy. Rick, on the other hand is a devoted mopar guy, and dedicated to get the best parts out to the enthusiast....

Re: Something to ponder
Extreme 4x4's on the power block (the show with the welder babe) recently did a 5.7 hemi swap into a TJ jeep. You might check their website for insight on this

Re: What did you use to clean Chrome
Never dull is a good product. I used it to polish an aluminum valve cover on an old Alfa Romeo I owned. One thing, be prepared to use some serious elbow grease with this stuff. Result will come out though. It's also re-usable up to a point. Have you tried Brasso on the effected area. I've had some l...

Re: Sun Visor ???
Ok, let me get this straight. You need nice quality (new, used, or repop), don't have to be original visors but something that fits. White preferable. Here's another question. White white or the pearl white? Here's a lead. Talk to Rick at Laysons Restorations (the toll free is 877.930.4088) here in ...

Re: Sun Visor ???
If you don't need an exact concours replacement. '70-71 e-body visors look like a good fit. Proper length overall but have a little cutout at the end to clear their rearview mirror. 67-68 a-body visors are identical in shape but not long enough overall. I'll keep working on this.

Re: Sun Visor ???
If you do find a passenger model visor that'll cross for your truck, also check Legendary Auto Interiors. I know they do visors as well.

Re: Sun Visor ???
If you can identify a cross fit, say maybe a '67 b or c-body passenger car ( maybe even a convertible, they're different). REM makes re-pop visors. They do most colors as well. One problem, they only sell wholesale, you'll need to find a retailer. Check Mopar Muscle for REM distributors.

Re: What did you use to clean Chrome
I know somebody who polishes the old chrome on their Dart with aluminum foil. It works. Shiny side out. Less abrasive than even 0000

side marker fix
I've been having a devil of a time getting my left driver's sidemarker to work. It was the last non-working light on my 1970 D200 and it was giving me fits. Anyone with these style housings has probably gone through this. The terminals inside had of course rusted and corroded somewhat and I wasn't g...

Re: Headers
I've been researching the same thing. Jegs has headers for our trucks. Hedman longtubes in two different tube sizes 1 5/8 and 1 7/8 i believe. Under $200.00. Hookers are a bit pricier but are ceramic coated. They come with up to 2" outlet tubes.. Hooker also makes some block hugger shorties. They du...

Re: possible problem solver-heater control cables
Tried there, a lot of A/C parts but no cables and they didn't have much more than rock auto, though I did only search vehicle specific and not universal fit.

possible problem solver-heater control cables
I, like many Sweptline owners, am in need of heater control cables. An online search revealed this website. Google, Ray's Auto Air & Heat. On his home page you'll find a link for heater control cables. On that page he has a chart explaining how to order cables by stating: Housing length, cable trave...

Re: cross-app advice needed
To be perfectly honest, I've been searching for some stock manifolds to restore. Been having a hard time finding 1970 style stockers so the headers have become option number 1. The truck has already been converted to dual exhaust. so retro-fittong to the dual inlet muffler would require more expense...

I found a set of JBA shorty headers from a 96 Dodge 1500 5.9, $125.00. Would these bolt up to my 318 LA heads?
