Re: Fender Pentastar emblem placement
My 67 D100 has it. Unless a big block and 4 speed are a trim package mine’s a basic truck.

Re: Cab rear wall strength
Yep, worked fine. Didn’t seem to flex at all. Gonna make it a lot easier to work on the bottom. As for the paint, this will add to the patina.
Thanks for all the replies.

Cab rear wall strength
Has anyone ever laid their cab on the back wall? Was wondering if it’s strong enough. Need to work on the bottom and really don’t want to lay underneath. I know a rotisserie is best but not in the cards. Thanks.

Re: Leaves per Spring
Sorry, haven’t checked back. I don’t know about the weight differences. I’m surprised one of the more knowledgeable people haven’t jumped in.

Re: Leaves per Spring
Well mine might not be the base model since it’s a big block truck, but the front springs are 5 leaf/1250lb. capacity, and the rears are 7 leaf/1750 lb. capacity. Hope this helps.

Re: Big Block Swap Parts
Sorry, haven’t checked the thread. This is my flywheel, the bulge isn’t like yours. I can’t get out to pull it out of the shed right now to measure, hopefully this weekend. I’ll take some of my starter too. F61ED3CA-D83E-4168-A604-A8EDC1E3428C.jpeg I had to have my starter rebuilt years ago. Couldn’...

Re: Big Block Swap Parts
If you got that bell housing for next to nothing, that’s a great deal. They’re usually pretty pricey.

Re: Big Block Swap Parts
I don’t know anything about the medium duty trucks, but I have a 67 D100 factory big block, NP435 and the C-93961W is the bell housing I have. On that 6 hole flywheel, does the engine side ‘bulge’ out? My flywheel measures 13 3/4” on the clutch surface including the pressure plate holes. I have a 12...

Re: 383 Oil Pan
Though it’s a little pricey, Milodon has a rear sump pan in both 6 qt. and 7 qt. They have a dipstick that’s works with the pan. You will need to block the original dipstick hole. If you want, they even have a windage tray that works with it.

Gas tank filler question
Not sure where the topic I just submitted went but I'll try again. When I got my truck the gas tank wasn't connected. I just used 2 inch fuel line to hook up the filler. Now I see a listing for a collar that goes from the filler neck to the tank neck. Was this how the factory did it? Don't know that...

Re: New Mickey Thompson Rims Spotted
Years ago I had the same thing happen. I eventually had to use the same product to get the finish back. I had to clean one wheel at a time a couple of times to get the color even, then I could polish it. Never was as good as new though. Seems the cleaner etches the aluminum. Don't know if it will wo...

Re: Need opinions
One other way to do it, but would take some extra work. Find a set of 69-71 spring perch brackets, by cutting all the rivets off and then remove the cross member from your frame and bolt the 69 perches on. Just make sure if your truck is a 100 to get the perches off a 100, 200's use a larger spring...

Re: Need opinions
"They were torched or saw cut at the factory when an auto tranny truck was assembled." Really, I didn't know that. That's actually. pretty cool in a sense. They sure did things different back then. "This is just me..... but I see this being done one of two ways.... The first would be the factory me...

Re: Need opinions
This is great guys, I love pictures. Can you remove the cross member without torching it? Or is it too hard to get at the rivets and bolts? From looking at my truck it looks doable but maybe a pain. I assume a truck with the spanner would have the corresponding stubs uncut.

Re: Need opinions
I have an original 67 short bed with a 383 and 4 speed. I am planning on using this as a daily driver when I retire. Due to physical constraints, I want to change over to an auto. What are the opinions on possible loss of value if I make this change. I know it's my truck and I can do what I want, b...
