Re: Old style power steering ???
Ok that looks and sounds like it will work.....then why are people not doing more of these? Is that old box hard to find? Is the cross over steering approach much better for some reason? I only use my PW on the road for hauling mulch and plowing snow.....what set up would you guys in the know recomm...

Old style power steering ???

Re: Backfire blows muffler
I blew up a muffler that was only a couple of months old on my '66 PW...turns out the plug came off the vacuum line on the intake manifold which made my truck run really choppy like you were explaining. As soon as I saw the problem and plugged it back up the truck ran fine and I was on my way.....wi...

Re: Trailer hitch advice for a 66 PW ????
Okay gang great input... I think I can handle this one now. If it turns out to be a bolt on application with limited drilling then i will have no huge issues (I hope). I am better at the wiring part since I have more experience with the 12 volt end of things from my past experience (owner of a high ...

Trailer hitch advice for a 66 PW ????
I want to put a class III trailer hitch on my 66 PW. The books don't go back that far as to what fits on my truck. What is my best approach for putting a trailer hitch on this beast? Who would you recommend I get the hardware from? I figure I can just measure between the frame rails and go from ther...

Re: Any suggestions for AC ?
Okay I took the advice of going with the new components since I am not stuck on being OEM or doing this for a show truck rather than a functional work truck. From what I have learned from the input from this site I am leaning towards the under dash unit (cooling only) from Hot Rod Garage.com. I will...

Any suggestions for AC ?
What is the best way to add air conditioning to my 66 / W200? The swamp cooler wont do me much good where I am located due to the high humidity that we have in this area. Is there a junk yard unit I can adapt to my truck? Let me know what you have done or think is my best approach. Thanks gang. Leif...

Lug nuts are stuck? Broke a stud...
I thought my lug nuts on my left front wheel were stuck... rusted on.... cross threaded.... or something crazy. I did everything i could think of... penetrating oil didnt loosen any of the eight non budge-able wheel fasteners... i torched em and tried some more only to eventually break off the stud....

Re: will this work for PS conversion?
Ok you guys lost me. Can i use it on my 66 D200 4wd that is now a NON power steering truck? Can I use this AGR Rock Ram kit just by intalling it or adding it to my manual steering I have now? I am not very experienced with power steering at all (except checking and adding fluid when needed). Please ...

Re: will this work for PS conversion?
Okay great.... does it work well? Are there any draw backs I need to be concerned with? or is this the best possible approach at having a good power steering system for my old 66 PWagon? I will spend the money if it is a good setup and is safe and sturdy.

My VIN # as listed on my title is 2281563585... The VIN # decoders all say I need more digits / letters in my VIN #.... My truck is a 1966 W200.... Do I have the right amount of VIN characters? Can you tell me anything about my truck by "decoding" this VIN #?

Over heating
My 318 is over heating ever since I added quieter mufflers and a snow plow to my truck (66 W200 4wd 318ci V8). I made a custom scoop to grab some cool air just in case it was because of reduced air flow from the plow blade and pump assembly. I still over heat in a matter of 3 to 4 miles. What is the...

Re: New to me... my first PW / 66
Thanks for your reply and input. I have heard of using a FORD steering box setup but I am not familliar with the way you did yours. I would rather use a MOPAR set-up if it will work. What parts will I need and from what year, etc...? Thanks again for your help. I would be lost and guessing without y...

I just bought this 66 a couple of months ago. Want to do a power steering conversion on it if anybody knows how to do that. Just thought I would share some photos with you enthusiasts.
