Re: under bed fuel tank

Regarding the Mustang fuel tank, it only came with the tank and sending unit. Can't remember where I purchased the filler neck and cap (EPAY?). Jegs sells one; http://www.jegs.com/i/JAZ+Products/547/ ... 3/10002/-1

Re: I think i have an addiction...

Looking at the air cleaner, it appears that the truck was propane powered at one time :thinking

Re: Going to Strangle my Woman

Great looking short bed, nice job. She should have made the decision before it was painted like I did on mine. It would be too costly and a pain in the a** to change it now. Give it some time, it may grow on her. Did she have a problem with the way it looked before you restored it? As for the manual...

Re: 69 Adventurer SWB

Sounds like it could be a nice truck. However seeing that its been sitting for a while might be a problem. I'd like to see a photo of the "dealer installed fiberglass Tonneau".

Re: new guy

Looks nice in the photos (they always do). I've seen this truck listed several times on EPAY. Short box Sweptline trucks in good condition are hard to come by. Like Jim said, beware of rusty floor boards and rockers. Just for a point of reference, I have more than the asking price in paint and body ...

Re: Won't Start

Did a more thorough investigation today and through the process of elimination I found a grounding issue at/with the Electronic Control Box. Apparently the metal to metal contact that served me well for years wasn’t enough anymore. Installed a ground wire from the box where it mounts to the firewall...

Re: Won't Start

I stopped looking at the coil once I grounded the coil wire and found that there was no spark in the start position, only showed spark once the key was returned to the run position.

Re: Won't Start

I too thought it may be the ignition switch so I tried a new switch that I had, no difference. I also tried another used ballast resistor and bypassing the resistor altogether, no difference. It's got to be something simple, figuring it out is maddening. I have spark when the ignition switch returns...

Re: Won't Start

Okay, I’ve checked everything that I know of and it still wont start. Removed the coil wire and grounded it to the manifold, no spark while cranking but once I quit cranking (back to the on position) spark appears. What’s up with that? I already replaced the ignition switch and regulator. I upgraded...

Won't Start

Went out to start the Sweptline today and it wouldn't start :pale It cranks just fine and is receiving fuel. It’s equipped (has been for awhile) with electronic ignition. So far I've bypassed the ballast resistor, tried a new module and coil to no avail. What’s strange is that once I’ve tried to sta...

Re: canopy or tonneau cover source

I emailed BakFlip a few days ago thinking the same thing, the owner (Julian Maimin) replied with: Under normal circumstances I’d say yes, however the maximum width that we can produce a cover to is 64 inches. My SWB measures 65 3/8" wide.

Re: Name that Part!!!

Just going off what MyMopar.com part number search came back for part number 2426712, it described it as a “grommet PCV valve”. Thanks for calling me out John on transposing the letters, I think that we all know that I meant PCV. Anyway it was fun to find out just what this part was. Thanks, lets do...
