Re: 8.0 L V10 Tansmission Options
On the "bolt right up to the 435" issue, I'm almost positive a getrag bell housing from a 1st gen cummins would do the trick. I like the NV4500 better, but I do think it's possible.

Re: 2nd ammendment
Australia just went through very stringent gun control, and their crime rate has spiked. I don't want to see our great nation brought to that point. I'm usually not the type to make a fuss about things, but I can't sit down and be quiet anymore. I realize it's not 1776 anymore, however the need for ...

2nd ammendment
Is anyone else concerned about the gun control legislation facing us in the near future? If you are, I strongly urge you to contact your representitives to tell them you oppose the gun control bill. We are all gonna have to push hard to make this work.

5 Speed swap
Anyone out there runnin a NV4500? I am seriously considering putting one behind the 383 in my short box. I ran the seach engine and didn't find anything. Just curious what's been done. The swap looks pretty easy other than the $460 bell housing it takes to bolt it all up. Thanks in advance.

Re: 2012 Lilac City Mopar Show
That hemi is a 5.7 or a 6.1 hemi. Judging from the valve cover bolt pattern, lack of distributor, and the aluminum bracket up front, it's a new hemi. It does look like it's got the Indy mod man intake on it. NICE truck!

1971 Crew cab question
I just picked up a '71 D-300 four door. Trying to decide if I should build it or not. I need another project like a hole in the head  . I was wondering if any body knows what these things are worth. It's got a 70 rear end and a browny box. The 318 it came with is locked solid. I haven't messed ...

Re: whats up with these doors????
I had a simialar problem with my '90 when I bought it. The previous owner had yanked on the outside handle so hard for so long it was tearing the sheet metal around the handle. It ended up being the door latch, I think I paid $150 from dodge a year ago. hope this helps.

Re: Cummins swap
Yeah, I saw the pics of the cracked frame, I already figured on boxing it even though it's a '73 IFS front. I just didn't know if any one was running an intercooler, what trans are people going with... Any help would be great.

Re: Mini starters
I've got one on the 383/auto in my '65, I had to take off a stud extension that was on the stock starter, but it fits nice with stock manifolds and starts MUCH better.

Re: this website helps sweptline owners?well...i need some
Nice 354 Sterno! I love the stock waterpump, intake, and scripted valve covers. :clap There's just something cool about stuff made back in the day that's been brought back into service. Wilcap does have nice stuff (those guys have been wrenching Hemi's since the mid 60's), Hot heads (awesome tech li...

Re: 354 Hemi into 67 8 lug
I always thought that would be a COOL swap. I've got a couple of 331's that I kick around swapping into my truck from time to time. Not the most economic engine to build, but I love the way the early Hemi's look. I also like the idea of having a period correct hot rod engine under the hood consideri...

Re: non swepty, but need help with this plymouth P.O.S...
I've done a little work on the aforementioned "P.O.S" mini vans (I hate to admitt  ). The transmission is probably in "limp-mode", when the computer sees an electronic fault, it defaults to second gear by turning both shift solinoids off. It could be any number of things to make it do that, but...

I used the swepty mounts in my swap, but I had to lenghten them for the mount holes in the body to line up.

315 motor mounts
I'm looking to swap a '59 315 hemi into a swepty and am wondering if the motor mount ears on the 315 are the same as the 318 poly? I notice that the Chryslers and Desotos seem to have the same mounts as the 318, but in the Hot Heads catalog, the dodge Hemi's use a different mount (V/S the Chrysler D...
