Re: Air Cleaner stock vs after market
Stock 4 bbl air cleaners not that easy to find in local bone yards, not a lot of free space in NJ and vechicles get crushed pretty quick. I have a air cleaner from late 70's olds that would fit but was a 2 bbl , noises not a real problem getting older and do not hear that well anymore . Have to thin...

I really dislike lowered trucks so I would vote leave it as is or maybe raise it a little

Re: Clearance Lights
The clearence lights on my 69 w300 were wired off one of the main wires( blue one) to the fuse panel then had a inline fuse and a seperate switch. I removed all this including the lights , you may want to wire them off the headlight switch so them come on with the lights.

Re: Tremble in front end when driving
Not sure which set but I would measure the old pins dia and length . You will need a correct reamer to ream the bushings and a press to remove and install, it maybe be easier to have a shop press and ream them if you do not have the correct tools. There usually is a bolt that holds the pin secure so...

Wll a 1970 power booster work on a 69
I may need to replace the power bake booster in my 69 w300. Checked at my local NAPA did not have one for a 69 had a listing for a 70.
It was a had to order part so could not look at it.
Anyone know if the 1970 booster will ft the 69 truck ?

Thinking about putting a Utlline bed maybe a sweptline on a 69 w300 yes I know it should have a 9' but since they are hard to find thinkingI will adjust to fit. The question I have is about the width my truck is a dual wheel rear and has about 48" between the inside of the tires not sure if that is...

Re: Which dual master? Also, where to get rubber lines
Could you post a pic of your 69 master cylinder? I'd like to see the bolt pattern against the firewall, thanks. I have a new mc I have not installed yet so it looks like about 3-1/2" space on the 2 mounting holes http://oldmopar.com/pw/w300mcnew.jpg Old mc is mounted to a power unit http://oldmopar...

Re: Anyone try Quiet Ride kits
There was a long discussion on quiet ride interiors on the dodge pilot-house forum (1948-1953 dodge trucks) A different style cab then the sweptlines but worth reading for information as it is mostly about quiet line interiors http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/showthread.php?t=13189&highligh...

That book does have information on building a bed but its a early style bed like a ffpw. Have you looked at the online parts manual

Is the frame clean sometimes you need to clean it with a wire brush. Older trucks had the number same location on the drivers side

Re: Catalogs?
Thats what makes owning a Dodge truck fun you have to do it yourself. I have own various mopars from the 40's to the 70's and never could figure out why repro parts are not available to us. Best option if you have the space is to buy a parts truck and maybe Jims cd for some basic body repair informa...
