1968 318 Engine Colors

Hello once again, although my Grandfather's truck has 61,000 original miles, the valve covers look like they could use some fresh color, they look like they could have been either red or orange, anyone know what colors were used on these and the block?
Thanks,
Marty

It has always been there, my Grandpa really loved this truck and the condition that it is in r...

Thanks for the response Patrick,
On the ID badge it states that the truck was built in Canada, I thought that it might be some weird northern thing.

Parking Lights

I never noticed this before but A mechanic that knows my truck says it is normal, When I turn on the headlights the parking lights go out, yet the turn signals do work, is this normal for a 1968 D100 custom?

Thanks, she is all original except for that mirror on the driver's door, I put that on there way back in 1993, can't see a thing out of it. It came new with rectangular truck mirrors which I still have, think I will put them back on. The truck is kept at my Grandmother's house (been under a carport ...

Here are a few pictures of My truck. I took these with my phone so they don't look very good. 1968 D100 Custom, 61,000 original miles, been in the family since my Grandpa drove her home from the dealer in 1968, original spare tire under the bed, owners manual complete with warranty card (protecto-pl...
