I have 275/70-15's on my 71. That works out to about 30.25x10.75. They have plenty of room on with the 4x4. I would like a little more beef, but they look good. I will wait for the new springs before changing the tires. I do think the backspace is off, haven't measured but they look more like 4.5" t...

An Adventurer SE tailgate will be trickier, I have been looking for one a while now myself. As for the 4x4, I doubt it will make a big impact on value. Honestly, these trucks don't have the same value as other more popular brands. But trucks never have the value that similiar aged cars do. The conve...

I would interested in a nice high quality embroidered one. I really like the kind with the adjustable leather strap in back. No cheapo mesh stuff. I would be happy to pay $20 for a high quality hat. Finding a vendor that would customize would also be cool. My wife got me a cool Plymouth hat this sum...

Got any pictures?? what is color combo? I am not !00% certain if the exact woodgrain pattern is still available, but you should be able to get really close. My Adventurer looks like some of the woodgrain was replaced, you have to look close to tell they are different. I have been unable to determine...

Most likely the phone number is 816 area code instead of 817.
816-797 is a KC exchange.

My 71 came with a 400, stock manifolds with 2.5" to 30 series FlowMasters. Then 3" pipe out in front of the tires. It has a nice idle sound. But I don't really care for the take off sound or highway sound. It is loud, which I like, but the tone is wrong. Just makes me think of a Chevy. I am going to...

Does the 66 use vacuum control push buttons like the 71? If so, do the buttons feel solid, when one is pushed do the others all come back out to the correct position? If the vacuum operated switch box is cracked it will not operate the doors correctly and air will not be completely routed. I had thi...

Warning about Sweptline on eBay

There is a light blue 71 D-100 shortbed that has shown up on eBay a couple times now in Lenexa, KS. It looks real nice in the pics, and I decided to check it out the other day. I don't want to bad mouth it or the seller publicly, but if anyone is looking at this truck I have seen it first person and...

Oops, I was a little hasty in my post. Wideblock is correct, Gates makes a special hose that is labeled "transmission cooler" that should be used. It looks like the rubber fuel hose. I actually thin kmy truck had fuel hose on the tranny lines, they were pretty ate up. On that note, I bent up new har...

Glad to hear your truck got such a good response! I was able to get my truck to one cruise this year. It got lots of attention. One guy comes over and said he heard me close the door 5 cars away and instantly knew it was a Sweptline truck! "Real Truck" and "Don't make them like that anymore" seem to...

I did take alook at the end of the suction tube in the bag, the metal insert is there, but there is no screen. The clogged tips sound like a possibility. I will look into it, if it ever stops raining!

I don't mind the foot pump. But mine recently quite working.

It was working fine, and now all I get is one little half squirt on the first push and then nothing. Any ideas on what might have happened? The bag is full.

Don't like either one of them. I don't think Bush has done a good job, and I don't think Kerry can do any better. Edwards would be better, not the best, just better. I was really pulling for McCain last time around. I just want a President with a clue. Seems ridiculous that we have been reduced to t...

Probably. Many of the parts interchange, plus the Fargos just aren't as common. Those parts should be more valuable, to some degree.

Mental note made..... However, what about using a chunk of rubber or polyuerethane? The Rubber wouldn't be to hard to come by, and polyuerethane can be molded easily enough, I remember doing it in high school science. In fact, the hunks we made were real close to that size! Is there some magical pro...
