Most of the body is 18 gauge. The cab mount brackets and tailgate are 16 gauge.

Re: Is the door flat across from front to rear?
How to fix a door is more than i could explain here. It depends on the damage and every part is different. I guess my answer is that there is no easy answer.

No I have not tried a stainless lined slave cylinder. Where can you get that done? I normally have to rebuild mine about every 3 years. But I drive it a lot. It works but I can't hold the clutch pedal down very long now before the pressure leaks off and the clutch engages.

I have never tried making the wing window but if I get a chance I will try it. They would look good in stainless.

Re: 68 D100, hydraulic clutch A833 O/D conversion
i just made a simple crossmember out of rectangle tube for the mount. The hydraulic slave cylinder has worn out again. i think it might be time to come up with something better than the factory set up . i might try a wilwood hydraulic assembly.

Crew cab inner rocker brace. All the same?
I made some patterns from a 1963 crew cab for the extra braces behind the rockers. I am wondering if the other years of 1961-71 would be the same or if anything changed. There were 3 extra pieces on each rocker to brace it. If anyone has pictures of other years they could post that would be awsome. ...

Re: 68 D100, hydraulic clutch A833 O/D conversion
Its been 3 years and it still works great! The only thing that might make it easier would be to buy a hydraulic clutch kit from somewhere like wilwood and use a hydraulic throwout bearing. Then you would not have to make brackets up and modify the factory setup.

Re: Weatherstripping/gasket recommendations.
I have gotten rubber gaskets from here http://www.steelerubber.com they seemed to be as good as any of the other companies I have tried. the worst gaskets that I have used from any of the companies is the door window felt weatherstrip . it is never as firm as the original and I am never happy with i...

crew cab door help
I am working on a pair of crew cab rear doors and my pattern got messed up . I need the measurement from the bend at the top edge, where the weather strip is ,down to the body line for the front and rear of the door. I think the rear is 10 1/4" but the front is possibly more like 10 5/8" but I am no...

Re: What the heck is this thing?
throw it away! I got suckered into buying one of those things about 20 years ago and installed it on my cuda. it was supposed to increase the spark and give me more power and fuel economy. I could never tell any difference and it ended up shorting out and my car would not run. I pulled that thing of...
