Re: Engine swap

There was a similar engine that was carburated, the 4.2 in CJ´s. And people with CJ´s have swaped it for the 4.0 with injection, cables and everything...

Re: Engine swap

Didnt know you have those rigerous inspections over there too. Good to know I´m not alone ;) Maybee I´ll be the first one with a Cherokee engine in my Swepty. I´ve heard about people putting them in old carburated CJ Jeeps with the whole injection system, cables and everything by connecting the + an...

Engine swap

In Sweden we have MOT inspections every other year, and now they are on my case about my D200 not being a V8 truck originally. It´s supposed to have a straight six engine, or I will have to change to discbrakes etc + an expensive re-titleing of the car. (Sweden is the last soviet-state  ) But I...

Re: Swedish Sweptline

Halloj, kul med fler svenskar här! :)

Seems that swedish DMV often get´s the years wrong on these old trucks. Maybe Mopar sold of old stock to Europe and titled them as the year they where exported. Mine is a 1968 but in the registry here it´s a 1970...

Re: 68 lift kits

I bought a 6" Skyjacker-kit from Summit Racing for my 1968 D200, it said it was for W-series 1969 ->. It all fitted perfectly, the only thing was that it came with 3 round u-bolts for the front axle, while I needed 4 square one´s in the right length. Those I got made seperately here in Sweden by a b...

Re: Dodge Trucks in the movies and TVs

I´m just watching "Black Horizon" with Val Kilmer on TV. 36 min in to the movie he´s walking around and as he turns a courner there´s a reaaley cool green swepty with a white grille parked allong the curb. Looks like a camper or military build.

I thought the same as you, and it doesn´t look special built. Looks like an old stock, dirty engine. Seems kind of shady... :joker

440? P/S?

This picture is from a ´69 W300 that I´m thinking of buying. It´s supposed to be a 440 with ~400hp (!?), does it look right? And can anyone tell by the picture if it´s power steering? (The truck is located far away, so I thought I run it by you guys before travelling half across Sweden to check it o...

VIN

The only place i´ve found the VIN is on a plate on the glovebox lid. But at the last anual MOT the inspection guy wasn´t satisfied with that and wanted to know if it was stamped somwhere else (like on the fram etc). Can it be found anywhere else on our trucks?

Re: 2wd to 4wd

I bought a kit with new leafs in the front and blocks in the back from Skyjacker. It was for the ´73-> Powerwagon, but everything fit my ´68 D200 except the front u-bolts (it came with 3 round ones, and the ´68 takes 4 square ones). But the original u-bolts from the rear axle can be used, beacause t...

Re: 1968 Dodge D 100 rat rod

Really cool! I would keep the cragars, but put a little thicker/fatter tires on them. Maybe even put really fat tires on the bak, for a little rake.

Thank´s guys! And it was really fun. The only thing he beat me at was the muddy hill, guess mine has to much weight on the front with the V8.

D200 in terrain

Me and my friend Martin with his Cherokee took a spin out in the backwoods the other day. I must say that the D200 has good terrain skills even if it´s 2wd. Has the Dana 60 rear axle some sort of limited slip dif? The only thing that stopped me was a steep hill with wet grass and mud, where the truc...

Re: Lifting a w200 power wagon?

A guy here in sweden I know has a late 70´s Power Wagon with a 440, Dana 44´s and big wheels. He showed me a drive shaft he´d broken straight of on tarmac, and told me he always keeps one or two spares in the truck :dance
