Look what fit into my garage
Here is a pic of my new camper. I had to get it in the garage but my 68 is the only truck that sagged enough to sqeeze it through the garage door. I never though the '68 would have a camper in the back of it.

Re: what 440 bell housing fits in the 1969- 1971 body
I got mine from a 400 in a 76 W200. It is cast iron and the fit the np-435. It is in a 69 d100 that i converted to 4x4. it is now a 413, np-435 married to a np-208 transfer case. transmission, transfer case, and front and rear axles are from a 85 w-150.

Re: 62 D100 Barely Fires Then Dies
I had the same exact issue with a 68 w100 with a points ign 383. it turned out to be the condenser (it only has 1 wire) mounted to the firewall (not in the distributor). I had repalced all the plugs, wires, cap rotor, points and still had the issue. A old farmer i was renting a house from took a pai...

Re: 68 d100
when i converted my 69 d100 all i did was find a 85 4x4 donor truck and swapped drivetrains. Front and rear axle bolt right up. The real fab i had to do was to move the shock mounts to the front of the front axle, drill new holes for the transmission/transfer case mount crossmember in the frame to r...

Re: rancho loaded quicklift
I would like to see that lift you got and what it looks like on your truck. Did you get rear springs or blocks? For my 71 W200, I bought a 4 in. Lift kit from Tuff Country. Costed $1060 + shipping. Looks to be a real nice kit, it'll be delivered tomorrow:-) I didn't want anything too crazy that I wo...

Sure they will work, it will just take a couple of extra tools and some time.

Re: What the heck is that?!? Under my voltage regulator?
I have had a bad condesor cause my truck to run like it is running out of spark (at least at first, then it just died and would not start), removed it and the truck sarted and ran like a champ. Hope one of you guys can use that little piece of info. It took me a set of plugs, wires, and cap and roto...

Re: 413 vs: 440
unless you have a "Special" 413 max wedge i would definitely go with the 440. When I built my 69, all I had was a 413 out of a 65 New Yorker. Thruck has great power and torque but upgradability is very limited because of pistons. If you ever want to stroke the 413 it will be very expensive as you wi...

I didnt think it was tough but it was really labor intensive and cost a lot more than i figured. its all the little stuff that really brings the total cost up like drive shafts and brake lines and other...

Yep these half tons squat nicely with a couple of pebbles thrown in the back. My truck looked like that all the time but with wood instead. She never failed me.

I do love Yellow, that thing is going to be kick @$s when you finish it. I like the front suspension convert. Have though about documenting the front suspension for those of us not wanting to do a front stub frame swap??
