Re: Oil Pan for 360 Swap
Ha! I still have the box it came in! Spectre part number CRP25A, and Melling pickup tube part number 200S. My truck is about as low as you can go with stock suspension, and it clears nicely.

Re: Oil Pan for 360 Swap
I found a Durango magnum pan the works perfectly. I can't remember what year though, as it's been about 6 years since I bought it! Might have a pic. Not sure how to add a pic here though?

Re: Bad Piston Rings?
Valve seals would be my guess...probably doesn't have any left! They would have no effect on cylinder pressure like the rings would. Good news is you can change them without pulling the heads.

I'll be two states away, so I won't be making it this year. Hopefully I'll be back working in Colorado by this time next year!

Re: Sway/anti roll bar
Mine wasn't so much of a leaning problem, it was a launching problem. It about flipped over on it's right sight when I launched it! lol I wanted to try the rear anti-sway bar to keep it from twisting in hopes that I could remove the front one...to remove the weight from the nose, and add it to the r...

Re: Sway/anti roll bar
I'll be home next weekend, so maybe I can get a part number as well as a pic. It pretty much looks like any other swaybar that would go on the front of most cars. Kinda hard to describe, I'll try to post some pics. I think the important part is it being the correct width to match up with the framera...

Re: Sway/anti roll bar
I have a rear sway bar that I bought, but decided not to use it. I flipped the axle on mine, so the swaybar would be under the axle...I didn't like the ground clearance loss. I started to mount it, but never even drilled the holes in the frame. I'd be happy to sell it to you, but I don't recall what...

Re: headers
Personally I have never doubted headers being better performers than manifolds. Street, strip, dyno or wherever......It just that the stupid things usually don't fit as well as advertised. :banghead Bucky This is a very true statement. I have had really good luck with fitment for the most part, but...

Re: 1 Month/Tracks open etsweptster
The SHIFTER is not where I attach the neutral saftey wire to the relay from. You run the wire from the ground on the automatic trans relay to the neutral safety switch in your TRANSMISSION. This is the middle of the three prongs that come out of your transmission. If you still have the one prong swi...

Re: headers
Looking at that link, they did test with the 340 HP exhaust manifolds...which are considered to be the best ever offered by mopar, and they did pick up torque to 409 and the horsepower to 315. The cheap 1 5/8 summit type, or cheap heddman headers picked it up to 423 torque and 319 horsepower. Even t...

Re: 1 Month/Tracks open etsweptster
The shifter brings up another rule I forgot...you must have a positive reverse lockout. In other words, it can't go straight from neutral to reverse without requiring a stop. Pretty much any after market shifter will have this, with the exception of the tall handled "truck" shifter...like the B&M, o...

Re: 1 Month/Tracks open etsweptster
I'm not sure exactly. I think as long as they can reach it without having to lean in you should be fine. As far back as your battery is, you may be able to have one mounted right on the battery! I saw one S10 pickup that had his battery right over the axle, and he had one of those push-pull type shu...

Re: 1 Month/Tracks open etsweptster
What you need is an NHRA rulebook. The NHRA website intentionally doesn't have anything online so that you have to buy their $10 rulebook. I should have one at my house since I pay my annual dues they send me a new one each year. Not much changes from one year to the next, so you could probably use ...

Re: 1 Month/Tracks open etsweptster
They are compatible, but you can't use the recommended jetting that come with the kits. You will need to add about 30% more gas, or 30% less nitrous. I don't know if anybody has that has experimented with it has ever posted any exact jet sizes or not. I plan on messing with it a little eventually, b...

Re: 1 Month/Tracks open etsweptster
You could try that first, but if you run into driveability issues, or you need to jet higher than 93s, you could get the E85 metering blocks. Also, if you are running the screw in jet extensions in the secondaries you will need to drill them out if you run larger than 98 jets...if I remember right.....

I'm sorry if I took it personal, but I was quoted in the post that said "you are a fool". All I was doing was defending my position...not trying to get in any kind of peeing contest. I like the banter, it helps all to understand both sides! Please don't lock us down!! lol What I do have a question a...
