Re: Owner of 3 HPP trucks passes.
Very sad news. Dr Winkler had a lot more vision than most of the other collectors out there. I salute him for giving the Sweptline community a lot of positive press and bringing back these beautiful trucks. I can't believe it has been over 20 years since I took the photos of the HPP at R&R Salvage i...

Re: HPP not in the barn
Thanks for sharing the cool story! After having it for so long and only the engine missing you should definitely keep it! And while no restoration is cheap or easy it just doesn't get much more simple than a Sweptline. ![USA :usa](./images/smilies/icon_usa.gif)

Re: HPP not in the barn
Great photos and an amazing truck. Love the shot with the 63. You have a lot of style, thanks for saving the 63 from the kid. And please keep the pics coming. What's the history on the HPP?

Thanks Ben, don't have the seats handy now but sounds good!!!CSS-Registry wrote:
Hi hans. Yes. I'm 99% sure. Take a look at the brackets. They should flat along the bottom and adjustable.
Ben.

Re: Find of the week?
Wow, That's pretty surreal! Did the guy tell where he got it from? Since there were quite a bit of these as fire trucks in Finland it might have originated from some old dealer stock? Can one ask what you gave for it? As a sidenote, there's a place in Sweden that has brand new Sweptline tailgates in...

Re: Post up a picture of your Crew Cab....
The truck came from Scott Blaylock's (HellBelly) inventory (thanks again Scott, had a great time in Texas!) and I trailered it to Houston. The one pic is not from inside a container, it is inside of a reefer truck I used to drive in Finland. Working in Sweden now...

Re: Post up a picture of your Crew Cab....
Yeah, the straight body and lack of rust through makes me want to preserve the patina....the trans in the truck had a lot of water (thus rust) in it and there aren't too many short tail cores here (Finland/Sweden). On top of that the prices for a rebuild I got quoted (unless no broken hard parts) we...

Re: Post up a picture of your Crew Cab....
Thanks for the kind words! I do have the correct crossmembers, I am waiting to get a rebuilt transmission from the US. Here's a couple of interior shots, the beautiful (but slightly torn) Custom seats are hiding behind some cheap black vinyl covers... http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc487/Forwar...

Re: Post up a picture of your Crew Cab....
Picked up this 1967 Dodge D200 Custom Camper Special longbed from Scott a couple of years ago. Pretty rare "luxury" crew as it is also a 318 automatic. Haven't done much else to it than cleaned the body with toilet cleaner and scotchbrite pads (it was really oxidized and had quite a bit of surface r...

Oh man, do you have any idea how rare those big back window 62/64:s are? I'd be happy to trade cabs lol. Too bad my truck is in CA and I'm in Europe, lol. Great buy looks like! ![USA :usa](./images/smilies/icon_usa.gif)

Re: Flying Barn Door
Regarding the fiberglass parts, Dragmaster also sold T-bucket kits and the bodies were made by Fiberglass Production. It would be quite likely that the truck parts were mad by the same company? I do not know if that company still exists, perhaps with another name?
